In the narrow hallway, it wasn't easy to slice sidewards as precisely as I had, so I just resolved to cut them all in half. I brought my sword down on the first's head and it split the zombie all the way in half from his head down to his legs.
I brought the sword up and stuck my sword through the next Zombie's face and out the back. His angry expression was ruined as his face collapsed inwards towards his rotten skull. As I moved over the zombies I had killed at a really fast speed, I held my nose because the Zombies stank so much.
I rushed backwards towards the door as the Zombies behind me began to explode in a green light. ZZZZZTTT. ZZZZZZZT. ZZZZZZTTTTT. I hit the ground, and the others hugged the outside walls of the building. Thankfully, none of the explosions were that big from the Zombies.
I stood back up with my sword and entered back into the building. I ignored the crystals on the ruined floor and I looked around for other Zombies. There were eight of them. All of them had splinters sticking in their body from the explosion and one of them was missing their entire lower extremity. They still growled when they saw me though.
I grinned. 'Well, I don't mind a second round. Come get some!'
My body became a blur and moved between each zombie swiftly. Again, they all fell to the floor with either a hole in their head or their bodies lying in halves next to each other. Instead of running back towards the door, which was too far, I threw myself out the far window at the end of the hallway. As I hit the ground, I rolled and made sure my sword didn't hit against the concrete. ZZZTTTTTT. ZZZZZZZT. ZZZZTTT…
As the Green lights flashed behind me, I opened my eyes. I stood in an alleyway that was dark and empty. I turned back to the window and tossed my sword through. Then I grabbed the edge where shards of glass cut my hand. Finally, I pulled myself up and back through the window.
After righting myself on the floor of the hallway, I looked around. There were 20 Mana stones on the ground. I heard other Zombies screaming and trying to smash down to get to the second floor, but for now I was safe.
The blue system window opened up in front of me.

I saw that I had unlocked the Rare Shop options, but I didn't have enough coins for anything, so it didn't matter.
I moved to each Mana stone, and I absorbed them. The blue little window popped up again.

I shouted aloud again. "If anyone is in this building, now is your time to break free or at least yell at me. I have killed all of the Zombies on the first floor. I am going to leave if no one responds!"
I had not screamed as loud, but I was sure that people would be able to hear me.
Sure enough, I quickly heard the shrill scream of a woman. "Please come up to the third floor! I'm trapped and I can't escape!"
'Well shit!'
I turned and walked back across the ruined hallway to where all of the others were still waiting around the entryway to the hotel. I nodded to everyone. "I need someone to come up with me and cover my back. Who has the most Mana?"
Tessa grinned. "I do. I'll come. I have 230 Mana."
I grinned back. "Did you know that I have 1400 Mana?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Damn, that's a lot."
"Yeah, let's go and save this woman."
As we walked back through the hallway and started ascending the stairway, there were no zombies. There was a door to the second floor that was metal. Zombies were beating against it, but they were not intelligent enough to open it. "Hey come on. There's no need to risk the structural integrity of this building when we have to climb higher."
Tessa stopped looking so intently at the door and nodded. "That is true."
We moved up the stairs all the way to the third floor. There were no Zombies at the third-floor door. Instead, they were trying to beat down a wooden door and they were almost through. "Tessa, watch my back."
I kicked the metal door off its hinges, and I rushed in with my sword swinging. There were just five of them. I sliced one's head clean off. I stabbed one through the forehead. I kicked one out the window. And then I Bisected the other two starting at their head and ending at their crotch area.
I jumped further down the hallway and lay down against the floor as the four Zombies exploded. ZZZTTT. ZZZZZZT. ZZZZZZT. Splinters stuck into my ass, thighs, back, and neck. As I stood up, I started plucking them out from my body.
I yelled at the door. "Hey if you're in this room, step out. I've killed all of the Zombies."
Ten seconds passed and a trembling, but beautiful woman stepped out from the door. She had brown hair, brown eyes, hazel skin, and eyes flitted over me and all the blood that covered me. "I-i-is that your own blood?!"
"Yeah, I had a rough time getting up to you. My name is Travis by the way, what's yours?"
"It's Anne."
She looked behind her. "This is John."
A boy that looked to be about sixteen stepped out from behind Anne. He had the same face and hair as Anne, but he was absolutely shredded. He was so muscular for how young he looked that I was actually surprised for a second. "Oh hey John. How old are the two of you? Also, how are you related?"
John took a step in front of Anne. "Anne is 23. She is my sister. I'm 17."
I nodded. "Cool! Are both of you willing to fight in this Apocalypse?"
John nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! I've been trying to convince my sister to let me go and fight the Zombies, but she kept holding me back. Honestly, I was getting ready to fight you as well if you weren't friendly."
I chuckled. "And you, Anne?"
"No, I don't want to fight!"
I sighed. "Yeah, well we have a bunker, but it's not near here. Without Mana, it is going to be quite the trip."
She cocked her head to the side. "Mana?"
"See those stones over to the side?"
"Yeah."
"They give you a lot of power. I killed all the Zombies because I am strong. I can run faster than a car, and I could have jumped all the way to this story if I wanted to. You need Mana in the Apocalypse."
She smiled. "Oh well, I don't mind the Mana, it sounds fun! I don't want to fight though."
I facepalmed. 'What the actual fuck is going on.'
