Calix swiftly treated Leslie's injury. He got the first-air kit from the kitchen before proceeding with the treatment. He started by cleaning the wounds with antiseptic, preventing them from infection.
Fortunately, Leslie only had bruises from her calf bumping onto the coffee table. She was lucky the heavy furniture didn't topple over.
Mrs. An and Aunt Wendy were there when the incident happened. The two older ladies' quick reflexes saved both Leslie and Calliope.
"I think they're just superficial but, we better get some professional advice," said Calix as he put the last tape over the gauze covering Leslie's bruises.
"I'll talk to Ms. Chen when she comes tomorrow..." Leslie brought up her physical therapist's name, a helpless smile carving on her lips, "She can look into my... situation and advise according to it..."
"...alright."
Calix's one-word agreement relieved Leslie.
"They'll be gone soon... I don't think my muscle tore..."
