The hotel suite buzzed with energy as Alexander, Alice, and Emma prepared for their appearance on "The Morning Dialogue," a premier talk show. Alexander adjusted his tie, glancing in the mirror, "You'd think after months of filming and press conferences, this would be a piece of cake."
Emma chuckled, slipping on her shoes, "I've idolized 'The Morning Dialogue' since I was young. Do you know they've won multiple Emmys?"
"Yeah, that doesn't add pressure or anything," Alice replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she touched up her makeup.
Emma, brushing a stray strand of hair out of her face, responded, "Yeah, their popularity is unmatched. Plus, being filmed in New York just adds to the grandeur."
Alexander smirked, "It's definitely good to be back in New York, isn't it, Alice?"
Alice grinned her gaze far off, "Of course New York. The city that never sleeps. I've missed its energy, it feels good to finally return after months of being away"
There was a knock on the door, and a member of their PR team popped their head in. "We're leaving in 10 minutes. You three ready?"
Emma gave a thumbs up, "Born ready."
Alexander chuckled, "That's the spirit."
...
Arriving at the studio, the three were ushered to the green room. As Alexander, Alice, and Emma walked in, they were instantly drawn to the monitor showcasing the live segment.
On-screen, Martin, the charismatic host of "The Morning Dialogue," sat comfortably, opposite the renowned fashion designer, Lana Spencer. Her vibrant neon dress was a stark contrast to Martin's classic black suit.
Lana, flipping her hair, said, "The neon palette is making a comeback this season. It's all about being bold, fearless, and making a statement."
Martin, with a smirk, retorted, "Well, Lana, it's certainly made a statement. I feel like I've time-traveled back to the 80s. Should I be expecting leg warmers next?"
Lana laughed, "Only if you promise to wear them on the next show, Martin."
Martin, feigning shock, replied, "On one condition – they match my tie."
Alexander whispered to Emma, "He's hilarious! No wonder this show's won Emmys."
Emma nodded, engrossed in the screen.
Martin, adjusting his tie, inquired, "Speaking of ties, any tips for someone like me who has about, oh, a hundred of them?"
Lana, with a playful glint, answered, "It's simple. Wear them with confidence. And if you can't choose, do a weekly rotation. Oh, and Martin?"
"Yes?" Martin responded, leaning in.
"Maybe avoid the neon ones," she winked.
The studio audience erupted in laughter.
Alice, leaning towards Emma, whispered, "I think I've found my new favorite designer."
Emma grinned, "Just imagine Martin in neon leg warmers and a matching tie."
The trio chuckled, already feeling at ease for their segment up next, thanks to Martin's infectious humor. His witty remarks and humorous banter were infectious, which had won him the hearts of millions.
Soon, Martin announced, "Next, we have the spectacular trio from 'The Chronicles of Everwyn' - Alexander, Emma, and Alice!"
As Alexander and Emma made their way to the stage, Martin quipped, "Look at you two! So, who's more nervous?"
Emma laughed, "I'd say Alex. He changed his tie three times."
Alexander rolled his eyes, "Well, fashion is important, especially when you're on the Emmy-winning 'Morning Dialogue'."
Martin chuckled, "Touche! Now, where's the enchantress, Alice?"
Alice joined them, amidst roaring applause.
Martin, beaming, said, "Complete at last! Now, Alice, heard you took a cab here. Classic New York move?"
Alice grinned, "Absolutely. And guess what? It took us 20 minutes just to move three blocks. New York, am I right?"
Martin laughed, "Oh, the charm of the Big Apple! So, 'The Chronicles of Everwyn' is shaping up to be a phenomenal success. How has the journey been?"
Alexander replied, "It's been wild. We've had intense filming days, chased by fans, and Emma here even tried adopting a raccoon she named 'Everwyn'."
Emma rolled her eyes, "It was cute, okay?!"
Alice chimed in, "Honestly, the reception has been humbling. Especially when little kids come up, thinking I can do magic."
Martin smirked, "Can't you? My producer did say something about you making his coffee disappear."
Martin playfully glanced at Alice, "Well, there goes my question about if you prefer tea over coffee. So which of you has had the wildest experience?"
Alexander leaned back comfortably in his chair, "Martin, between the three of us, I think I've had the wildest experiences. There was this one time, I was mistaken for a real prince at this little diner in Georgia. A kid refused to let me leave until I knighted him with a plastic spoon."
The audience burst into laughter.
Martin, eyebrows raised, said, "Well, Sir Alexander, it's not every day you knight someone with cutlery."
Emma leaned towards Martin, whispering dramatically, "Don't let him fool you. He carries that plastic spoon everywhere now, just waiting for his next knighthood ceremony."
Alice added, laughing, "Oh, he does. Tried to knight me last week for making the perfect toast."
Martin's eyes twinkled, "Well, Sir Alexander, I'd like to be knighted too. Think you could do the honors during the commercial break?"
Alexander feigned deep contemplation, "I'll consider it if you promise not to wear neon leg warmers."
Everyone laughed as Martin pretended to be disappointed, "Oh, come on! I was looking forward to that fashion statement."
Shifting his gaze to Emma, Martin said, "Emma, aside from adopting raccoons, what's been the most adventurous thing you've done since starting the movie?"
Emma pondered, "Well, I took up sword fighting. Not the choreographed kind, the actual sport. It's exhilarating! Though, I've bruised more than just my ego a couple of times."
Martin nodded, "Note to self: Never challenge Emma to a duel."
Alice laughed, "Trust me, she's fierce. I tried once, and let's just say it didn't end well for me."
Martin looked intrigued, "Go on…"
Alice sighed, "Let's just say my coordination isn't...top-notch. Ended up tangling both our swords, and we had a moment straight out of a slapstick comedy."
Alexander grinned, "It was a sight to behold."
Martin laughed, "Well, as long as no one was hurt. But from sword fights to magical escapades, it seems like you all have had quite the journey. Tell me, any memorable fan encounters?"
Emma excitedly shared, "Oh! There was this little girl, maybe six or seven, who gave me a hand-drawn picture of my character. It's hung up in my room now."
Alice added, "I met this elderly gentleman who said he watched the trailer with his grandkids, and he felt like a child again. Moments like those make everything worth it."
Alexander nodded, "Absolutely. And for me, every time a fan shares how the movie touched them or provided an escape from reality, even if just for a couple of hours, it reminds me of why we do what we do."
Martin looked touched, "That's beautifully said, Alex. Well, it's evident that 'The Chronicles of Everwyn' isn't just a movie, it's an experience. And having the three of you here, sharing your journey, makes it even more special."
The trio smiled, grateful for the opportunity to share their stories. The bond between them, and with their fans, was evident. The conversation flowed seamlessly, filled with wit, charm, and genuine moments, making it an unforgettable episode for the viewers.
As the segment wrapped up, Martin said, "It's been a riot having you all. Here's to more Everwyn adventures."
Exiting the stage, Alice remarked, "Well, that was fun! Can we come back tomorrow?"
Emma replied, "Only if you promise not to steal any more coffee." They all laughed, their bond evident and their journey just beginning.
