Chapter 62 - The Legacy (2)

"With that cleared now, prepare to receive your reward for winning the ultimate trial of Nino, aka Deity of War," Sir Ballad said as he extended his hand, and a disk-shaped object appeared.

As soon as the artifact manifested in Sir Ballad's palm, Rasoul sensed a connection with it. It felt as if the artifact had been waiting for him. Something stirred within him as he continued to gaze at the artifact. He was momentarily lost in thought until Sir Ballad's voice brought him back.

"This is the OmniWorld, our master's most prized possession. I hope you use it wisely." Sir Ballad then handed the artifact to Rasoul.

"Form a soul bond with it so it can recognize you as its master. Remember, wield it only when you are prepared to delve into the laws of the universe. Using it prematurely will only bring unnecessary trouble to you and your loved ones.

"Moreover, due to the alliance between Master Nino and the human empire, the tomb won't be exclusively granted to you. It will forever belong to the human empire, opening once every 10 years for those under the Saint Realm to explore and acquire valuable resources. However, you will receive an unlimited token, granting you and a chosen companion the opportunity to enter whenever you wish."

"You will also receive this Deity of War scroll, granting you one opportunity to summon the deity for just 5 minutes to assist you in battle." Sir Ballad handed a scroll to Rasoul and cautioned him, "Use it wisely."

"You'll be teleported outside when you wish for it. Remember, the road to becoming a formidable entity is perilous, but with firm determination and unyielding focus, you can succeed."

Sir Ballad concluded his presentation with a piece of advice to Rasoul and his friends. Rasoul sat there, gazing at the 27 individuals gathered in front of them. He knew that the moment he formed the contract with the artifact, they would all meet their demise. He couldn't bring himself to do that. Observing this, Sir Ballad shook his head lightly and spoke.

"Don't dwell too much on it. We've already lived our lives, and all that awaits us is death. The decision to preserve the artifact until it meets its master wasn't made for us; we made it willingly. This is your chance to reach the highest peak this universe has to offer. Go ahead and form the contract, and don't let our inevitable demise deter you. We've lived long enough. It's time to rest."

His words provided Rasoul with partial resolve to form the contract, but before he could, Zayd spoke.

"My dear friend Sabrat, I understand that you may doubt your abilities as an Assassin and believe that you will never reach my level. However, I truly believe that you are underestimating yourself. You possess the potential to surpass even my skills, which is why I think you should possess this Technique.

This technique, known as 'Umbra Veil,' is my most treasured possession, and I would be devastated if it were to be lost with me. It consists of four stages, each stage comprising four steps. I was granted this Technique when I became a subordinate to Master Nino. If you manage to fully learn and master even the first two stages one day, you will undoubtedly become a formidable threat to your adversaries.

"Don't slack off; invest your time into it and master all four stages." Zayd handed the technique manual to Rasoul.

"I only managed to complete the first stage, but that was enough for me to effortlessly assassinate those in The Great Sage Realm while I was still in the Saint Realm.",,,Zayd Bragged

"Yeah, yeah, we already know about that; no need to brag." A young woman with incredibly beautiful eyes spoke. Her eyes emitted a radiant gold light. She then glanced at Lara and gave her a beautiful smile before speaking.

"I perceive a profound connection between you and the light element, a bond that resonates with great intensity. To assist you in fully harnessing its power, I shall impart upon you the sacred 'Luminar Radiance' light Technique. While some may perceive light solely as a means to dispel darkness, I firmly believe it possesses a multitude of capabilities beyond mere purification. As you embark on the journey to master this technique, you shall come to comprehend the diverse applications of the light element."

"Always remember to utilize it wisely and never neglect the importance of maintaining a pure heart, regardless of the circumstances you encounter. By the way, I am Thalia Emberhart, and I look forward to the day our paths cross again, like two kindred spirits.

"Thank you, Thalia. I am Lara

[Congratulations Girl]

The system immediately congratulated her bestie.

"Why not consider this? Since we're discussing the realm of light elements, it wouldn't hurt to explore the Darkness technique as well. A young man, sporting a single horn protruding from his forehead, chimed in while casting a quick glance at Rasoul.

With a confident tone, he continued, "You seem to have forgotten about your affinity to the darkness element. If you had tapped into its power during your battle with the Sage Beast, victory would have come easily to you." As he spoke, he retrieved a book covered in black and handed it over to Rasoul.

"This technique is called 'Abyssal Enigma'. Just as the name suggests, it delves into the depths of the abyss. The abyss is the most formidable realm within the Void, and harnessing its power in battle will make your killings much more efficient. Mastering all four stages may be challenging, but it's not an impossible feat. Legend has it that a Voidkin once achieved this mastery, elevating his power to unparalleled heights. Rumor even has it that a single strike from him could obliterate stars."

"Moreover, as you progress to the Sage realm, make sure to nurture the Chaos energy within you. This extraordinary force hails from the abyss and has the power to take your technique to unprecedented heights.

"Before I forget, Allow me to introduce myself, I am Finrod Moonblade, renowned as the Darkness General. Amongst all the generals, I proudly hold the title of the strongest. With a final flourish, he punctuated his speech by delivering a sharp blow to each of the 26 generals.

"Strongest, my foot...," scoffed another young man. He spoke with his eyes closed, but when he opened them, a faint lightning shimmered within.

Malachi Darkblade, the thunder general and the mightiest among the 27 Dark Generals, stood before them. "I'd like to bestow my technique, but I'm unsure to whom I should give it."

"Give it to her; her affinity to the lightning element is much stronger than mine," Rasoul immediately responded to the thunder general. He was aware that the technique would benefit Lara more than himself. If he needed a cultivation technique, he could always purchase one from the system store.

"No, give it to him. He is our leader, so he should have it," Lara insisted. She didn't want Rasoul to miss such an opportunity on her behalf. Lara understood that sharing was not an option; one had to dedicate uninterrupted time to master a technique. Some even secluded themselves for a hundred years for that purpose.

"It's alright, Lara. Consider it a gift from me. I hope you won't decline my offer," Rasoul replied with a mischievous smile, confident that he had won the argument before it even started.

Lara didn't say anything and simply nodded in acceptance.

"Alright, this is the 'Raijin's Wrath' technique. I won't delve into it now; you'll find all the details when you read it. But can you tell me which year we are currently in?"

"We are in the 1265th Pino Era," Lara replied.

"If I am not mistaken, we have been in this tomb for 10,097 years. In three years, the Elvin auction will open. So, you have three years to prepare. Take this token, and when the time comes, go to the Elvin Empire and participate in the auction," Malachi said as he handed a jade token to Lara.

"Every 100 years, the Elvin Empire organizes one of the biggest auctions, which spans a whole week. I want you to go because there is a unique crystal called the 'Voltite Prism Crystal' that always appears as the last item in the auctions. It contains a dense Lightning essence that will help you cultivate this technique more efficiently. Gather as many gold coins as you can because it is always the most sought-after item during the auction."

"Thank you," Lara expressed her gratitude as she received the token.

A smile spread across Malachi's face as he returned to his seat. The other generals exchanged glances, clearly unhappy about not having any legacy to leave behind. But before they could dwell further on their thoughts, their leader spoke up.

"Sorry that the rest of us couldn't give you anything. Our techniques have been shaped by us, so sharing is not possible. However, we will leave behind something more valuable for you," he said, winking at Rasoul. Rasoul was surprised by this sudden change but didn't dwell on it too much.

Sabrat, who had been notably quiet, finally spoke, "Before you all go, can we at least know your names? We only know of Zayd, Malachi, Thalia, Sir Ballad, and Finrod."

The other generals lightened up a bit as they began to introduce themselves. After a while, all 22 generals had shared their names. Among the 27 generals, 7 were female, and the rest were males. Some shared the same class, while others had a unique class bestowed upon them by the universe after meeting specific requirements, just like Lara.

"Alright, I think it's time for us to leave. Thank you for freeing us, Rasoul, Sabrat, and Goddess Lara," Thalia said with a smile on her face.

Rasoul immediately channeled his soul energy into the artifact.

"So long, Sabrat, buddy. Hope we meet again someday," Zayd bid Sabrat farewell as he began to fade away, leaving only his Core behind. The rest of the generals also faded away, leaving only their cores.

"Hope to see you again, Supreme One," Sir Ballad said as he, too, faded away.

Rasoul watched as they all began to fade away, a single tear falling from his eyes. The 27 individuals had left a profound impact on his heart. But before he could delve deep into his emotions, the system chimed in.
