"No need to be scared; I don't bite," a female voice resonated from within the cave, instantly calming them down. The sensation felt motherly, and since two of the three ladies had never experienced such maternal care, they felt compelled to enter.
"Guys, be careful. We don't know who is inside, so let's tread cautiously," Vorticia, being different, lacked that feeling. Her voice snapped them out of their daze. "What should we do?" Aria asked, but before Vorticia could respond, the voice spoke again.
"If it's any consolation, know that I am long dead, and the voice you are hearing is just my consciousness still living in my blood essence. If you don't believe it, why don't we sign a contract that binds me to harm a hair on your head? If that's the only way to win your trust."
