*Land of the Living= Earth.

*Pure Lands= Afterlife for humans.

*Silver City= Metropolis created by the Six Heavenly Clans.

*Six Heavenly Clans= Founder Families. (Kagemori, Yagami, Achebe, Lan, Ur and Nie.)

*King's Guard= Militar Government in the Pure Lands, mostly focused on Reapers and their jurisdiction.

*Council of cranes= Enforcement of Laws in the Silver City and the adjunct Districts. Usually composed of normal souls born from Noble Families.

*Secret Corps= Assassination Unit inside the King's Guard.

*Shakkusho= Empty Sword. It's a conduct for the reaper to canalize their soul and bring their other half to the tangible world.

Once the reaper manages to manifest their sword, this is called an "Awakening." Captain-level reapers can also achieve an "Ascension" which allows them to break the barriers of reality and summon unimaginable power. It's said you can reach god-like powers and that's why they call it ascension.

It also said that you will gain immortality once you reach that stage.

*Reincarnation Cycle= The cycle that souls are continually following.

Human souls go from the Land of the Living to the Pure Lands, back and for, their memories erasing the moment they leave the Pure Lands. This is said to be so your soul can enjoy the full of their potential without past mistakes weighing it down.

Heretics propose that calamities are also part of the cycle and not a corruption of the soul, for there had been records of intelligent calamities roaming the dunes in the Endless Desert.

This, of course, is illogical because you can purify calamities and return them to the correct path. You can help them to return to the cycle and every reaper knows and understands this.

*The King in the Sky= Ruler of the universe.

*Heavens above= Council of immortals that have been chosen to serve the King himself. An honor that keeps them forever entering the reincarnation cycle ever again.

*Golden Core= Manifestation of a reaper's spiritual energy. What differentiates normal souls and reapers.

*Calamity= Beast that devours souls. 

*Yokai= Animal or plant spirits that have achieved illumination. They can be considered as calamities that have gained intelligence and reason.

*Halfa= A reaper that has been corrupted into acquiring traits of a calamity.

*Daiyokai= Reapers that had denounced their sword and communed with the cosmos until they embraced the nature of an animal.

*Dusting= The process that happens when a reaper dies. Their bodies turn into golden dust and their souls rejoin the reincarnation cycle once again.

*Molten Gold= Reaper's blood.

*Silver= Manufactured spiritual energy; helps as a painkiller and a bust for the reaper's core so they will heal faster.

*Tree of Stars= Reapers don't reproduce like humans. They pray to the King and tie ribbons on the branch of this particular tree (that can be found in the center of the Silver City) and if the prayer has been heard they get a cocoon and the baby is born from said fruit.

The baby carries the physical image of the intents of the parents; they normally look like their parents but sometimes they can look completely different. Ej. Kogane Keisuke. He looks like a Fuma instead of an Achebe.

You need two or more spiritual energies in the ribbons to produce a child so single parents are not a thing in the Pure Lands.

*Cold Stone= Or just Stone. Is a natural barrier that dispels spiritual energy, the entirety of Silver City is constructed with it. It had to be. Otherwise, the city would crumble every other day under the pressure of their habitats.

*Aura= A reaper's spiritual energy. It affects the five senses in intrusive ways; every aura is unique and serves to recognize other reapers. The number of senses that they affect is equivalent to the power the reaper holds.

Normal reapers affect smell and taste.

Touch and hearing are senses that Luteniant-level reapers affect in plus of the other two; seated officers affect one or the other but never the four senses at the same time.

Affecting all five senses is said to only be done by a Captain-level reaper.

*Projecting= It can be a natural occurrence; a very passive introduction. Or it can be a deliberate action to harm or warn an opponent.
