Chapter 43 - I am Luna

She was a woman gorgeous enough make heads turn, regardless of their gender, with waist length beautifully braided black hair and mesmerizingly brilliant green eyes. With an alluring inverted triangle shaped body, she was seen donning a V-neck black top and a high waist skinny jeans.

With a mole on her right chest visible over her deep cleavage, she stood facing the pair in front of her, with a curious expression.

And, Raven who was responsible for the current situation, stepped in between the women who seemed to be having a stare down,

"My apologies, we are only here since we weren't in a state we could have walked out." Raven softly and simply offered an apology for intruding her adobe, with a smile.

"….."

Though he didn't receive a response in return, he didn't mind it, with his unflattering smile, he turned to face behind at Carreen, who still seemed a bit confused by the situation yet took his hand when offered, as they made their ways out, followed after by the guest of the dorm.

"I'll ask them to send someone to clean the washroom and to restack the used bathrobes, thank you, and have a great night" He said as he walked out of the back door, connected to the restaurant.

The next day.

Raven woke up quite early with the warmth of the woman, hugging his arm as she slept, noticing how comfortable Carreen seemed in that position, he didn't mind waiting for a bit, and there were things he could do even while laying down, and that's exactly what he did.

'Notifications' He called and the pop ups he had ignored yesterday reappeared in front of him.

Once again, 'Pick the recommended' He commanded as he assumed that even with a fresh set of memories of the [Tower]'s resident, it wouldn't make much of a difference hence he just went with the recommended one.

Which was the [Abilities].

[Conditional Option has been selected:]

[Condition: Only one ability can be [Mirrored]]

[Carreen Wintere's ability deck:]

• [Game of Cards] [lv:58]

• [Flames of Phoven] [lv:62]

'Is the level also mirrored?' He wondered before selecting the ability of his liking.

[DING]-!

[[Ability: Game of Cards (lv:58)] has been mirrored]

[Game of Cards: Face1: -1HP/ Face2: Death [Probability: 99:1] [Restriction1: User's level should be higher than the target] [Restriction2: Once a day, per target] [Restriction3: Target should agree to play the game] [Activation phrase: Do you want to play a game?] [Agreeing probability: 50.058%] [Proficiency: 0.00%]]

'What….. is this?' Raven wondered with a grin, cause the ability seemed fun.

But,

'…. This is just as shitty as it is fun, and is also useless if you are weak, considering the restrictions.….' Raven mused.

A scenario where Carreen tried to naively believed that if she ranked up that ability, it would change to become a better one, since it was already far better than the rest considering that there was an option of instant death, played out within his mind making him chuckle a bit.

"….Umnnh…." Carreen let out a soft hum in displeasure, but that gentle sense of consciousness helped her mind recognize the chilly arm she embraced, waking her up.

"Good morning, sugar~" Raven whispered softly, caressing her cheek.

[Individual [Carreen Wintere]'s satisfaction rate has increased by 1]

"….. Good morning, handsome….." She mumbled with a teasing smile and half opened eyes, pulling him closer to embrace him.

--

Hours passed.

Exchanging contacts with Carreen, Raven left the room to visit restaurant where they met yesterday night.

Along the way, he found many, but not too much, sinners walking around, understandably so, considering the fact that the sun was still down.

ZROOOOMMMM…..

Vehicles revved past him, drawing his attention.

'I should invest on a bike too….' He thought as he watched the road and jogged forth to the other side, before continuing on with the path leading to the restaurant, observing his surroundings along the way.

And, strangely, he noticed many streets, shops, stores, and malls open, a few were even crowded.

Noticing which, 'It indeed is morning….' He mumbled inwardly, as he been confusing the timing there to be altered, which was why it was still night, but considering how actively the tower's residents were behaving, that didn't seem to be the case.

Observing everything curiously, Raven arrived at the restaurant and entered it as the automated doors slid open.

Proving his fact, within that brightly lit hall, many were seen seated, enjoying their breakfasts.

One of which, he recognised, not that her beauty helped in staying hidden.

Walking up to the table for two, where the woman he met yesterday was seen seated, on her holographic screen, seemingly browsing through funny and adorable cat clips.

"Hey!" With a casual greeting, Raven called out for the woman, who turned to face in response.

Gazing at him for a few seconds, "Hey" She greeted back, casually.

"Can I join you?"

"….. Sure, why not…."

"Thank you. I am Raven"

"Raven..." With a soft mumble, "I am Luna" Luna introduced herself, taking upon the outstretched hand, for a handshake.

With a soft smile, under her curious gaze, Raven took the Menu which was nothing more than a black card, offered to him by the waiter and browsed through the holographic list of meals available.

Selecting a series of options, Raven waited as the waiter walked away with a polite bow, with the menu card now pushed to the middle of the table.

Curious, Raven faced up at her, only to notice her staring straight at him, still she didn't avoid eye contact with him. While, Raven, as if eager to participate in the staring contest, he too didn't break the eye contact, and soon, the table turned silent with couple's eyes locked on the other.

A minute quickly passed,

And,

"….. What are you looking for?" Raven asked with a soft smile.

"An inspiration?" Luna mumbled.

"In me?"

"…. Yeah"

"Hahaha, why?"

"I am curious"

"About?"

"Currently, you"

"Is that so?"

"Yeah. I am curious as to why, mana is fluctuating differently around you" She mumbled, surprising Raven by a bit, but not enough to alert him.

"Because she loves me, maybe?"

"Is that so?"

"Hahahaha!! You don't find it absurd?"

"A part of it does, but that just made me more curious" Luna mumbled.

"Why does it sound like you aren't surrounded by many people?" Raven mumbled in a tease, but unexpectedly, watched as her face go red in embarrassment.

"….. what a rude thing to say!" Luna huffed.

"Cough, for real?"

"…..Hmph"

Raven pressed his lips, trying to hold back the laughter, but unfortunately, "Pfft….." He failed in doing so.

"Wha…."

"Sorry but, hahahahaha!!"
