Chapter 4 - Setting the mood

Though it seemed as if he had yet to make a wish, his wish has already been granted, but he still had yet to ask for the wish officially. Trivia had never said that he could retain his memories when she 'magnanimously' bestowed upon him a wish and a blessing, but now that she, as a goddess, had said it, she would make it so that he'd retain his memories; and she only had to pick a soul she liked bestow upon a blessing, reincarnate that soul, and let it experience birth once again, but due to his 'casually curious' seeming questions, he was now going to transmigrate instead of reincarnating.

He, by letting her not read his mind, made her curious about his thoughts and challenged her to predict his choices and decisions, without actually making his thoughts clear, hence in that competitive state, while she focused on predicting his actions, he did his bidding.

Even after minutes passed, Dan had nothing to wish for as his expressions changed constantly under Trivia's curious gaze.

Hiding her victory smirk behind her poker face, "Hm, 'knowing you', you aren't getting any idea on what to wish for, am I right?" Trivia asked, and with an awkward smile, "Yeah….." Dan replied, letting her win.

"Then let's distract your mind for a bit!" Trivia smiled broadly as she stepped off of her footrest and pushed herself off of her throne and arrived right in front of Dan, her height shrunk to impersonate a 5 and a half feet tall human's.

"What do I look like to you?" She asked, curiously.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Dan took a step back and asked in puzzlement.

"Describe me!" She exclaimed as she jumped and twirled, beautifully.

Noticing her excitement, though confused, Dan decided to describe her from his perspective. "Short, shoulder-length golden blonde hair, beautifully brilliant golden eyes with a hint of mischief and curiosity buried in them, carefully yet beautifully carved soft yet mature facial features, neither tall nor short but perfectly proportioned slender neck and arms, modestly ample pair of breasts, well toned abdomen, plump and perky rear, with long slender legs."

"Oh?"

"So that's your ideal type" She playfully muttered as she observed his expression. Indeed as she had stated, the form she had taken from his perspective was indeed his ideal type, and yes, he was an ass guy. Though the breast size didn't really matter, he preferred modest ones.

"So you can see my original hair and eyes, huh…..hehehe, good, good~~" For reasons she couldn't quite put her finger into, she felt a bit happy to know that he was able to see at least a bit of her.

"Any hair and eyes colours preferences?"

"I haven't seen any except for blacks, browns, and blues, so I do not know."

"Hm… so, this isn't your real form?"

"No, those with weaker souls cannot see my original form, no, rather they cannot even see me, much less give me a form~ you are just a special case, as your soul is stronger than what your world, Earth, can house, maybe it's because of that you died so early on~" Trivia said with a cheeky smile as she leaned forward, crossed her hands over her rear and circled around Dan, who was shocked by the revelation.

"Due to this being the case, I cannot send you to a world without magic even if I wanted to, because you'll die before you live past your 30s."

"Is that so?"

"Mhm!" Trivia then nodded her head, adorably. Due to the nearly non-existent distance between them, their eye contact set a certain mood that wasn't awkward but felt a bit dangerous as Dan's eyes maintained contact an instance before they moved with a slight tremble and gazed down at her lips, gulped before gazing back at her eyes. His ethereal cheeks gained a tingle of red as he gazed away, avoiding eye contact.

"So, I hope you'll quickly become stronger and ascend here, so that I can show you what I really look like~ and don't worry, I think I fit perfectly as your ideal type." She suddenly muttered with a flushed face, her lips quivering in embarrassment, fear, and anxiety, due to the now heated mood.

As if steeling his resolve, Dan took a sneaky step forward, "What will we do here, after I ascend?" Dan asked keeping Trivia under his intense gaze, while she flinched and took a step back upon noticing him step forward.

"Re-read sto-stories of the departing souls,"

"And?"

"You c-can tell me ab-about your adventures in the n-new world…."

Her expressions shifted from one to another within mere instants; tens of expressions with confusion, uneasiness, and insecurity majorly dyeing her face as she took a step back, while her confusion made a question as to 'why she was acting like a girl in love' flashed in her mind, but Dan didn't seem to want to give her enough time to snap out of her confusion, as he continued to step forward, pushing her consciousness to a corner.

THUMP!

Before she even realised, she had back stepped, her steps numbering in tens, and had involuntarily cornered herself to a pristine white pillar that now unveiled an untold history craved on it, while Dan stood right in front of her, gazing down at her.

Gazing up into his eyes, she gulped as he placed his right arm over her head on the pillar, while his left arm slid over her waist as he leaned down slightly, "Why are you curious about my adventures?" He whispered in sultry voice, making Trivia tremble in his arms.

"Be-beca-"

He abruptly leaned back and gazed up at the skies, much to Trivia's relief and disappointment, but the next course of words that left his mouth shook her to the core. "I have decided on what to wish for," He exclaimed with a sigh as he leaned back to gaze back down at her and leaned over to her lips.

"I wish to be one with you"

"Huh!!!!!!?????"
