Chapter 14 - Resolve

While he was in his own world, the mana on the outside surged into the room he was in and gently caressed him, creating an heavy atmosphere within the room that effected any and every thing that wasn't him, the whole Stidolphe Dukedom was alerted at the heavy surge of mana that pressured them enough to make many kneel, the very few who were able to remain standing had their heads lowered, together with the masters of the mansion who sensed where the pressure was coming from and were a bit fearful of the harbinger of the phenomenon.

Almost every powerhouse in that world felt the change and were alerted, they wanted to rush to where the fearful phenomenon was unfolding but their own abilities forced them to stay still, though they didn't know what would happen if they went against it, they didn't want test it.

Mana in all the sinned worlds had one unique property and that was that it was an energy that was extremely, if not, near-impossible to control, as it was bit too heavy and dense for their feeble mana veins, hence most, if not all of them used different set of veins to wield the power that could be said to be the counterpart of mana.

And that counterpart was aura.

Aura waves were thin and light but rough, hence almost everybody only used aura while those who could wield mana were deemed entities that should never be trifled with, since they are born with innate mana that grew within themselves as they grew stronger and older. Their bodies were innately stronger than those that are yet to awaken aura, but the gap widens after one did awaken aura; though physically only slightly weaker, mana wielder wielded far greater power, and their abilities were also boosted and said to be at least 1.5 times stronger than what they were when used with aura.

These said prodigies could fight physically and from longer distances, though the damage done when close range is weaker, they cannot be underestimated, as those who were considered geniuses even among these prodigies used mana as aura and set their domains at the peaks.

The aura could be compared to impurities or wastes that's left behind when mana his purified; like oxygen and carbon-di-oxide, with mana being oxygen and aura bring carbon-di-oxide, respectively. Most recorded reaction from having merged both mana and aura was explosion that's stronger than a nuclear explosion; hence, if questioned whether these two forces could wielded at once, then the answer in simple terms would be no.

Such a powerful force had now surging at one point, of course every strong entity would be altered, had it not been their auras forcing them to stand still, they would have either taken him for themselves as a possession or would have destroyed him so that no body else would have 'something' as dangerous as him.

Sleeping on the cushy bed face down, he would either make a warm or a sad expression continuously until he grew numb to it and stopped expressing any expressions entirely. In his consciousness, as Trivia only picked souls that glimmered in a warm glow, every memory he possessed was that of a 'good' or 'saint(ly)' person's; hence their thought process, mind sets, demeanour, everything about them was being etched onto a new consciousness that was a bit too small for every memory to be itched hence his consciousness itself was forcibly being stretched which was a bit too burdening on his soul, but there should be no physical changes.

As he became every person in those gazillion memoirs; in every life, whether he was man or a woman, he experienced one or the other kind of betrayal that pained him greatly, but those around him only pushed him away or used him in one way or the other, the most common desire expressed at, when he was him or her was lust, while experiencing those lives, he or she felt to have been stupid in those times and was only thinking clearly now.

The consciousness being born from those gazillion memoirs soon found itself laughing at itself mockingly as it questioned to itself why was it so stupid to even have tried to find a wrong shoulder to cry on? Why did it lean on that person even though it knew the obvious reasons that person even accepted it? Why were there only these kinds of people it found to lean on when it was broken? Why was it so obliviously hopeful even when faced at the obvious signs of being used? Was there a need to forgive that person? Why did it have to experience such sadness even though it wasn't in the wrong? Was it wrong to have been born? Wouldn't that be the obvious question when all it experience was a hint of happiness with a cost of having to experience a copious amount of pain? Maybe it would have thought it was fulfilling if it only found happiness after going through all the pain in existence, but no, it was only after it got that intoxicating taste of happiness that it was forced to go through those endless cycles of pain, craving for that hint of happiness that it had once experienced? But, everything was futile, every time...

BA-THUMP!

Then the saddened consciousness heard its own heartbeat that thumped increasingly faster as every pain it had felt in that endless loop of heart wrenching endings began to fuel its resolve to find,

Happiness.

At that resolve, its disposition as a person got twisted strangely since it didn't want to live a life it would most probably come to regret. It didn't know what it was becoming, but if it meant that it wouldn't have to experience that pain once again, it'd live like that, no matter what it became.....without a hint of regret.

And,

BOOM-!

With a violent ripple that carried a pressure of kinds unknown, the body of a young man named Osier Glaziere flipped to face the bed's luxurious canopy with a violent jolt as his hair turned eerily pure black and the snapped open eyes rippled in a divine golden glow; the mana surging in the room celebrated his awakening in a glee that rippled throughout the entire sinned world, before his pink coloured features returned to normal and he was once again knocked unconscious, but this time he was only sleeping at the spiritual and mental exhaustion.
