Maisie walks into the hallway and says, "Professor Liu is sleeping. I happened to be by his phone and answered."
Emmi frowns, she is in his bedroom?
Maisie can tell Emmi isn't happy she answered the phone by her tone. She doesn't want to explain the situation but knows she has to be very polite to Emmi because of Bai Cai. If she should complain to him she would be in serious trouble. "If it is important I can wake him up."
"No. Don't disturb his sleep, he needs his rest. Could you please tell him I called when he wakes up."
"Of course."
"Thank you."
Maisie walks into the small bedroom and Liu Ling is sitting up in bed,, "Who was that?"
"Miss Chen."
"Give me the phone."
"Professor Liu, you should sleep, the doctor said the poison will slowly deplete your internal energy if you over do."
He laughs then teases, "Are you caring about me?"
