Recovered Records from Planet Xar'thul
From the archives of the Galactic Historical Society, dated prior to Age 737
Our long-range sensors detected it first - a spherical vessel that seemed to drift between the stars like a pearl of death. We did not know then that we were witnessing the arrival of the being our children's children would call the World Ender. The trade federation thought they could negotiate. They were the first to die.
He appeared almost diminutive at first, seated in his hover-throne like some cosmic emperor of old. But there was something in those eyes - those terrible, piercing eyes - that spoke of power beyond our comprehension. When he smiled, our greatest warriors felt their knees buckle.
We offered everything. He barely seemed to notice.
"My, what a lovely planet you have here," he said, his voice carrying an aristocratic lilt that made our blood run cold. "Had, rather."
The explosion, when it came, was almost beautiful.

Final communication before planetary destruction
WARNING TO ALL VESSELS - AVOID SECTOR 7. LORD FRIEZA'S FLEET APPROACHES. I repeat: If you value your existence, do not approach. The being known as Frieza moves through our sector. Already three systems have gone dark. The Kanassans, for all their ability to see the future, couldn't escape him. What hope do the rest of us have?
His power level... it's incomprehensible. Our strongest scouters explode in his presence. They say he can destroy a planet with a single finger. They say he laughs while doing it.
The Saiyans serve him now. Gods help us all, even those warrior-demons fear him. We've seen his elite soldiers - Zarbon, Dodoria, the Ginyu Force - but they're nothing compared to their master. At least they kill you quickly. Frieza... he toys with you first.

Excerpt from "The Galaxy's Demon: A Study of Lord Frieza's Empire"
By Dr. Kora Vec, Galactic Historian
Perhaps most terrifying is not the raw destructive power Lord Frieza wields, though that alone has claimed billions of lives. No, what truly sets him apart is the casual nature with which he exercises it. Multiple surviving accounts describe him sipping wine while watching planets explode. He has been known to give populations exactly five minutes to amuse him before their extinction - not out of mercy, but simply because he enjoys the sport of it.
His own father, King Cold, is said to have cautioned him about destroying planets too frivolously. Not out of any moral concern, but because they might be valuable later. Frieza's response was reportedly to laugh and destroy another world just to make a point.
The most chilling aspect may be his transformations. Witnesses who've survived encounters report that his first form - the one in which he conducts most business - is actually a means of containing his power. The idea that such a being, capable of casually destroying worlds while suppressed, chooses to restrict himself not out of kindness but convenience, suggests levels of power that defy mortal comprehension.
Recovered Audio Log: Elder of Zal'ash

"...and so I tell you, future generations, of the day the demon came to our world. We were peaceful people. We had no armies. We were hiding a convicted refuge, and that was what he wanted. I saw him murder our children with a smile. I saw him impale warriors on his horns. He called it all a game. A game! Even now as I record this, I feel his power level rising. There is no word in our language for what he is. We created 'demon' and 'monster' for lesser threats. Frieza is something else. Something worse. If you hear this message, run. If you hear his name, pray. If you see his ship... you're already dead."
