Chapter 62 - Chapter 418

During the mythological era, the gods had numerous temples spread across the world, vying for the devotion of the people of that time. This competition extended to both The Supreme God and the lesser deities. By the end of the third era, most of these temples had been discovered, with the Elves and Humans being the primary beneficiaries of these divine legacies. Few gods and temples remained unclaimed.

However, the main temples dedicated to gods like the God of Thunder and the God of Fire had remained elusive, hidden from seekers. The prince could never have anticipated that he would one day be guided by a group of Lei Ling entities to the primary temple of Thunder God .

This temple was situated where the intensity of thunder was at its zenith.

What was even more surprising was the temple's size, it resembled a modest dwelling rather than a grand sanctuary. William's limited knowledge of the language allowed him to decipher the three characters written on the door: "Temple of Thunder."

The temple was heavily fortified, protected by a multitude of Epic Level Lei Ling entities numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Even Legendary beings would find entering here akin to storming the heavens, facing certain death under the relentless assault of the Lei Ling entities.

As for the arrival of a Sage?

It was a well-known fact that Sages were on par with gods in terms of power. Once they set foot in a place like this, no defense would hold them back. The only way to safeguard their homeland was to employ every conceivable measure to prevent the disclosure of its location.

William, however, had Thunder God's left hand, which led the Lei Ling entities to believe he belonged to their kind. Guided by the Lei Ling entity with the most potent aura, William entered the temple of Thunder God . Upon gazing inside, he couldn't help but shiver.

Thunder God's Body.

It was nearly entirely consumed!

The prince couldn't help but feel a chill. Was he about to become their next meal?

Brother, this is utterly heartless. Let's talk it out. Why eat me? I'm not particularly tasty, and certainly not as delectable as those larger entities.

Yet, the Lei Ling entity showed no malicious intent. Instead, it gestured for him to enter the house and Pointed at its own mouth, as if suggesting that William consume the remaining parts of

 Thunder God's Body.

"What?" William couldn't believe his ears.

The Lei Ling entity offered no explanation but patted him on the shoulder and transmitted a message telepathically: "Absorb as much of his energy as possible and grow stronger. Before his demise, he took away our power, but in return, he bestowed even greater strength upon us. You deserve it, and so do we all."

With that, the Lei Ling entity turned and departed.

William remained bewildered, but he noticed that these beings seemed to consider him one of their own because of Thunder God's left hand.

As the Lei Ling entity departed, it no longer maintained William's appearance, but instead transformed into an amorphous shape, joyfully traversing the thunderous realm.

Taking a deep breath, the prince examined Thunder God's Body, mostly consumed and devoid of divine light.

This body was composed entirely of thunderous energy.

Its preservation thus far was likely due to the unique environment and the strength of this realm.

But the most astonishing aspect was that William couldn't fathom the immense power of The Supreme God.

The fact that one person's body could elevate countless Lei Ling entities to epic levels was simply mind-boggling. And now, this body had been nearly completely devoured.

" Thunder God seems to have been quite considerate. Even in death, he cared for his own kind," William mused, touching his chin as he looked at the place where Thunder God's left hand should have been.

Although Thunder God's Body was almost entirely consumed, the spot where his left hand should have been was still apparent.

William couldn't help but wonder who could have severed Thunder God's left hand. That person likely played a role in his death.

The prince muttered to himself, "Killing Thunder God and The Supreme God, what kind of being could achieve such a feat?"

"But how do I absorb Thunder God's Body?" William's thoughts returned to the matter at hand. He scratched his head, wondering if he should try using his teeth, though that would likely result in him breaking his teeth.

Notably, the divine personality's location remained unseen by the Lei Ling entities, leaving William slightly disappointed.

One crucial Point was that there was likely an upper limit to the energy these thunder spirits could absorb, which explained why Thunder God's Body had not been fully consumed.

"How much can I absorb?" William wondered aloud, swallowing nervously as he placed the vial of life water in his mouth. He then cautiously extended his left hand.

The moment of contact was electrifying, akin to a spiritual connection between their beings. William could feel the immense energy of Thunder God's Body flowing into his left arm.

Or rather, not just into his arm, but into his very being. It was as if Thunder God's energy sought to transform his entire arm into that of the God of Thunder.

William remained still, as time slipped away. He had no idea how much of Thunder God's energy he had absorbed, but there was no visible reduction in Thunder God's Body.

However, the transformation of his divine right hand progressed slowly, as it wasn't an easy task to turn it into the hand of a "Supreme God."

The fortunate aspect was that William had previously fused with Thunder God's left hand, experiencing a painful loss of blood as a result. This time, he didn't suffer continuous blood loss, indicating that he had adapted to the transformation process.

An hour passed, and the first half of his arm had been successfully reconstructed.

Two hours passed, and the second half of the arm was undergoing transformation.

Three hours passed, and his Thunder God left arm was finally complete.

However, as Thunder God's energy continued to transform his body, the difficulty increased, and William found himself able to move slightly.

Slowly, he extended his right hand toward the remaining part of Thunder God's Body.

Prick! It was another electric shock, accompanied by a tingling sensation. However, these pure energy entities did no harm to him. Instead, they seemed to be aiding in transforming his right hand into that of a god.

Time continued to pass, and the transformation persisted. Around six or seven hours had gone by when Thunder God's Body completely vanished, leaving no trace behind. Meanwhile, William's divine right hand had undergone a profound transformation.

The prince sat on the ground, finally liberated. However, he noticed something disconcerting.

He examined his left arm and his right hand, both now thoroughly altered. It appeared that the transformation had come to a halt.

If he possessed the ability, he would have transformed both arms into those of The Supreme God.

But his right hand was not fully transformed. It seemed that Thunder God's Body had run out of energy.

"Darn it!" William exclaimed, his highness rising to his feet. Thunder God's Body had vanished completely, leaving no trace of his essence.

Perhaps the remnants of Thunder God's soul could be found in the original temple on Stormy Island, offering the true inheritance.

However, Thunder God's reincarnation had yet to arrive to claim it, and William went unrecognized.

Thunder God's Body here had seemingly been a gift Thunder God bestowed upon his own kind.

"There's no need to be so stingy. This is your homeland, after all. Can't you leave behind a few magical items?" William grumbled as he looked around the room, hoping to find something of use.

Thunder God's left hand and right hand were a different story; he had possessed those before. But he needed something more substantial.

After all, the transformation of his arms was a remarkable upgrade, but it hadn't been a qualitative change. At most, it would significantly increase his digging speed, perhaps twice as fast, making it unlikely for even a Legendary boss to catch up with him. They would be left eating his dust.

It was a rather melancholic tale, indeed. The great Thunder God , with all his might, would be forced to dig tunnels if he discovered his energy had been transformed. William couldn't help but imagine the deity desperately excavating the earth behind him.

It was a rather unfortunate fate.

The room was divided into two bedrooms and a living room. Thunder God's Body had occupied the living room.

The other two rooms served as a study and living quarters.

William entered the room where Thunder God had slept, despite pondering whether the God of Thunder needed sleep. Nevertheless, there was a bed in this room, and his highness was determined to search for any magical items.

Um.

Mu you.

Mu you.

He shifted restlessly at the foot of the bed, searching for something that wasn't there.

Thunder God didn't appear to require anything, at least not from his perspective.

As William entered his study, he finally stumbled upon something of value, books lining the shelves.

He wasn't concerned with the contents of these books. Without hesitation, he collected all of them and stashed them away in his magical space.

In total, there were 360 books.

Um.

Those books seemed to have a connection with him, but he couldn't reciprocate the sentiment. He couldn't decipher any of the words printed on their pages!

So, he left without knowing the significance of what he had taken.

He hoped that when Mexes returned, he would be able to identify some skills or knowledge hidden within these books.

Just as he was about to leave, a knife caught his eye, subtly placed beside the desk.

But he had missed it at first glance.

It seemed that the harder he looked for something, the more elusive it became.

As William held the knife in his hand, a surge of thunderous energy burst through the roof and into the sky, accompanied by a resonating buzz.

The knife bore the name "Leizhan Legend."

It was a name that matched one of his own skills, the "Thunder Chop."

This wasn't a divine weapon, let alone an artifact, but it felt like the kind of weapon Thunder God would wield at a Legendary level.
