"I'll die in this boat, I'll definitely die in this damn boat!" cursed Persephone in despair as she knelt, praying to the gods to get her out of that infernal river. Anthony observed the shore, which was now closer. According to his calculations, they would only have to sail for about two more days to reach solid ground. They had been on that river for a whole week, and he had taken it as a little vacation, but Persephone seemed to be on the verge of madness.
He looked at Persephone with a smile, noticing how her eyes were on the verge of tears. He was about to say something to calm her down, but before he could speak, she interrupted him with a shout. "Don't you dare speak, Anthony!" she exclaimed, pointing her finger at him. Anthony closed his mouth, nodding silently. Persephone lay back in the boat, embracing her knees with her arms, sinking into silence.
