Tess was excited as she and Katie moved their things into the new place. They were neighbor with a very friendly guy called Jamie. Since they have been in the flat, they have seen him once or twice, he seems to be very busy. As they sat in the kitchen enjoying themselves Jamie came over to say hi.
"Hello, ladies It's been a while, sorry, I haven't had time to come and say hello, and welcome to our neighborhood. I can see you guys are having breakfast before work".
Katie was a bit shy in front of him and Tess noticed it.
"Can I pour you a cup of tea? Tess asked,
"No thanks don't want to make you girls late. But dinner is on me, whenever you gals are free, I will make time."
He smiled as he said, "But I don't a toast" as he took a toast from the tray in front of Katie and went out. Tess turned to Katie with a grin on her face.
"Someone has a crush"
"Shut up he's not even my type"
"Oh really, your face says otherwise" Tess teases her friend
Katie went from pink to red and tried to hide it. Tess couldn't help from laughing.
"Awww my friend has got a crush, he is quite handsome, wouldn't you agree?"
Katie, looked at Tess "Is it that obvious?"
"Not really, only a girl's eyes can see such things most times. My friend, most guys can never tell even if their life depends on it".
"Tess, I really can't explain it, whenever I see him, I just get tongue-tied, it's crazy. To tell you the truth, it scare me" Katie said looking worried.
Tess hugged her "Don't worry, it's going to be okay. I didn't see a ring on his finger, and no kids around, so he could be single. We better start planning that dinner date, so I can get you guys together, so you can talk to each other".
After breakfast, both girls got ready to go to work. As Tess got ready, thoughts of Stan were in her mind. She still longed for him in her dreams, and she wondered if what she had with him was true love. Katie's advice, was for her to stand her ground that true love will always win. Only time will tell if what she and Stan has was true love, only time will tell.

Tess began to relax more, it was as if the eyes she felt watching had gone and things had gone to normal. Working in the hotel is such a daunting job, it takes a lot and if you are not careful, it will take your whole time. Though there are shifts, if you have nothing to do, you could keep working and just be making money. Tess prays it works for Katie with Jamie, he friend needs a relationship. As she thought of it, she chuckled and said, "Look who is talking, she needs a relationship too". If only things have worked out with Stan, she will be in his arms right now. She shook herself and said, it's such thoughts that will not help her to heal. For a moment, she was grateful that he hadn't been to the hotel after their last encounter. But something inside of her wished he would, and maybe he would give her a tip of $1000 again. With that thought, she went about her duties with a smile on her face.
