Chapter 19 - Chapter 18: Meeting Each Other

"Lewis, what do you think you're doing?! " Mervin said, catching up to Lewis, who was already on the spaceship hatch, ready to jump out with his mecha.

"I need to go now."

It's already the day before Ryzel's birthday; he needs to arrive at the Capital Star, where Ryzel is located, because there are only three (3) hours left before Ryzel's birthday.

Knowing what happened to Ryzel, he immediately followed all the news about him.

Lewis was aware that Ryzel was still looking for a high-level sentinel, but he was unable to find one with a match rate higher than thirty percent.

For the previous five days, as he rushed back to the Capital Star, he kept an eye out for Ryzel.

Every time Ryzel went to a match test, he felt contradictory. He was relieved for Ryzel's safety because he wouldn't face legal consequences if he found a partner, but he was also hopeful that no one would exceed the thirty percent threshold.

Knowing Ryzel's actions for the past month, as long as there was someone who passed the thirty percent threshold, even if it was only thirty-one percent (31%), he was sure that if the other party agreed, then Ryzel would immediately be married to that sentinel.

Just the thought of Ryzel being in another Sentinel's arm makes him want to break something.

Two years ago, Ryzel was with another sentinel. It was his fault for not putting Ryzel by his side sooner because he thought Ryzel was still young.

Now that he still has a chance, he would be a fool if he didn't grab it.

There were just three hours left in the day; therefore, he needed to go where Ryzel was.

"Storm, look for the location of Ryzel Hanes."

Storm was his AI and also his mecha.

(Yes, master.

Searching for the Top Priority List: Ryzel Hanes, activated.

Ryzel Hanes is currently located at the Capital Star Matching Center.)

"Ok, show the shortest route possible to arrive at the matching center in the shortest time possible."

(Route image displayed; you can arrive at the matching center in two hours and thirty-five minutes.)

"Ok, let's go."

(Master, Angel01 is trying to contact you. Should I receive it?)

"Receive Angel01"

As soon as it was connected, he immediately heard Mervin's voice.

"Could you please wait for a moment? Do you understand what you are doing? Don't you realize that going directly to the Capital Star with your mech without authorization is a crime?"

The Capital Star was filled with people who had wealth and power. So, any unauthorized entry is punishable.

"I know, but I don't have time to wait for another thirty minutes for their slow verification. Why did you follow?"

"You really know how to cause trouble. Do you know how hard it is to stop those old men from prying?

And what are you going to do with all the security personnel going after you because of your unauthorized entry? Fight them?

I'll hold off those security personnel for you this time so that you can go directly to where you want. I'll also hold those guys from the Senate. Ah, why did I even become friends with such a troublesome guy as you?

Lewis, remember, you owe me big this time!

Good luck! "Mervin said, then turned off the communication.

Lewis smiled a little after hearing Mervin.

(Master, there are a lot of incoming mechs in our direction.)

"Angel01 will deal with them.

Activate the defense system.

Let's go directly to the Matching Center."

"What should we do?

Should I ask my parents to start preparing a spaceship?

We only have one hour before your birthday!" Lyre said while walking back and forth, trying to find a solution.

It's already the day before his birthday.

Ryzel still went to the matching center to have a matching test with all the people assigned by the government; unfortunately, he still didn't find a sentinel with a match rate higher than thirty percent.

Knowing that today was his last chance, a lot of people are still waiting for his results.

He knew that if he still didn't match with anyone tomorrow, he would be packing his bags, ready to go to one of the fringe stars.

He did a lot of matching tests all day, but he knew that the hope was extremely small.

Sure enough, the results were still disappointing. There was still no sentinel with a match rate of thirty percent with him.

The number of matching tests he did totaled seven hundred sixteen (716).

All the people he knew were shocked knowing that he tried having matching tests with seven hundred sixteen (716) high-level sentinels, but the results of the tests were still lower than thirty percent.

He also doesn't want to give up, but the results of the matching tests are making him helpless.

He tried thinking of other solutions, but finding a partner was really important.

Knowing that the match rates between him and other sentinels are very low, he already started preparing just in case he really didn't find a sentinel.

He started preparing a lot of potions for him to use just in case he would be assigned to one of the fringe stars. He made a lot of potions to ensure his survival.

He really didn't want to give up because he still wanted to get his inheritance. Now, he was already thinking about how to delay the transfer of his properties for ten years.

"Ryzel, what should we do?" Lyre asked again in worry.

"Don't bother with it anymore; there is only one hour before my birthday. Just prepare more potions for me. I can still survive for ten years without squeezing all my mental powers with the help of potions," Ryzel said to Lyre.

"How can that be?"

Before Lyre could continue what he was saying, they saw a mech descending fast from the sky.

Before Ryzel could fully observe the mech, it disappeared and turned into a bracelet.

The man who came out of the mech held the bracelet and walked directly to Ryzel.

"Hello, Ryzel. It's nice to see you again. I'm Layton Lewis Vespertine. Do you want to have a match test with me?"

Looking at the man staring at him, Ryzel nodded and said, "Okay, let's have a match test."
