Chapter 19 - Chapter 8: The End of Everything....2

With those illusions, Shadow King managed to render the Brotherhood of Mutants and those present at the place unable to move, while he used them against the master of magnetism.

Aleis's eyes snapped open as he lay face up on a concrete construction, with lights shining everywhere in his vision. It was a fallen building, his mind provided him with the name of its location. A thunderous explosion sound alerted him to the presence of another person nearby, and he turned his head to the side.

His eyes were greeted with the sight of a white-haired figure, accompanied by a colorful helmet, who ignored him while the man's gaze ended the confrontation.

"Magneto..." he thought.

The first thing he did was remove the metal spear that pierced him, to proceed to observe the lower part of his body, stained with what must have been his blood.

"What kind of trick does he use to not touch me?" he wondered. "His powers, I suppose." At that moment, it felt the same as being hit by a baby.

The second thing he tried was, with his increased psychic powers, to subjugate the floating man's mind using his magnetic powers, but he failed in the attempt.

Aleis had nothing but the utmost respect for the mutant. After all, who would be able to despise and resist his mental attack? Not him, that's for sure. Not after Xavier.

Only great psychics interested him in emerging as the entity of nightmares.

As far as he was concerned, they were much more useful than the so-called mutants. Especially a certain bald man who had defeated him twice without being able to obtain his body.

With the dissatisfaction of not being able to take the magnetic mutant's mind, Aleis began to bend the natural power of his current body, remembering the first time he used the vector powers.

The feeling of not being able to best Xavier in a mental battle led him to resort to physical attacks. However, the possessed body functioned differently than his telepathic power as a mutant, making him understand that the young man's vector powers, active since birth, were consuming his own energy as an adverse effect. Thanks to the new information acquired, the entity changed the origin of the ability's energy source to mental energy instead of the complex calculations required to apply his innate powers.

With this in mind, he used the vector ability again with the aim of obtaining the answer of how such a "weak" mutant resisted his psychic power. Using the spear, he concentrated all the force vectors in his hand as he threw it.

Among the shadows of the buildings, ravaging one of the alleys of the Big Apple, the figure of a man was hiding, panicked by the current situation he found himself in. The non-existent lights of the alley where he took refuge did not allow the naked eye to see the wounds caused by the beings he saw as laboratory rats, which were expanding throughout the world in search of replacing humans. According to him, no one should fear the mutants who dirty their city, but now, his only thoughts were of regret for having joined the anti-mutant protest at the moment when everything got out of control.

He had not understood the magnitude of the global threat posed by Magneto, who, after having been imprisoned for years, returned with a floating city proclaimed as the nation of mutants, attacking those who opposed his ideas, including his fellow men. This culminated in the confrontation with the mutant who had created a huge tornado of fire some time ago, repeating the same attack. The rubble and fire left him with burns after being thrown far from the war zone.

His thought process was soon interrupted by the roar of a nearby explosion. With an inhuman effort, he continued to advance through the dark alley, believing himself to have been safe. His strong heartbeats began to resonate throughout the place. With a last effort, he left the alley and saw in the distance how the mutants faced each other in the air, while part of the buildings burned. But before he could move his body to a safe place, his body stopped working and everything went black in a matter of seconds.

*Splash*

The man's body was destroyed in an instant by the figure of an albino who fell at the speed of sound. Upon impacting against the asphalt, his fall created a crater of pure destruction.

—God, it's disgusting. That man's guts are sticking to my body —said the albino.

The figure of the teenager, without any apparent injuries, rose from the crater and, with simplicity, began to touch his clothes. He bent the laws of physics, causing the blood impregnated in his body to shoot out in all directions, creating The illusion of blood raining down from the sky.

"I should have assumed that the mutant who attacked the city joined Charles when I couldn't find him, but it seems he didn't teach you his ideals for the mutant race," the master of magnetism said angrily, floating in the air.

"You're only upset with me for burning your cheap subjects alive, but don't doubt that you'll end up just like them, gray-haired," said the entity, its voice filled with mockery and malice.

With those words, the battle breaks out again. The psychic entity, embodied in the albino's body, launches itself furiously towards Magneto, its fist raised, trying to break through the electromagnetic defense of the mutant master of magnetism. The air around them distorts from the immense power released.

"Down," Magneto orders in an icy tone.

Without making any visible movement, Magneto manipulates the magnetic fields around him. The invisible force materializes in a brutal attack that sends the albino's body flying through the air. The blow sends him crashing into the ground, sinking into a crater. The pressure exerted by the impact is such that the albino's body twists grotesquely, his limbs bending at impossible angles, creating a grotesque image amidst the rubble of the razed city.

But Magneto's fury has not been sated. With his face hardened, he rises into the air, his objective clear: the floating city of Utopia. This city, built from the remains of a meteorite, has been the refuge of the radical mutants under his command, a bastion that he himself has defended with his life. But now, with most of his best warriors fallen, his plans to rebel against the world's superheroes are in jeopardy. As he ponders his next steps, something interrupts him.

Suddenly, his body goes numb, and a sharp pain hits him like an electric shock.

"I'm back, bitch!" the albino's voice echoed in the air, charged with madness.

The entity, which should have been destroyed, is standing once more, its pale face showing an expression of absolute insanity. Its bloodshot eyes and whitish skin reveal a being possessed by a force far greater than itself. It seemed to have returned from the dead once more, its power intact.

Before Magneto could react, the albino's fists reached him with unstoppable speed. Brutal blows hit his face and abdomen, sending his body flying out of the city towards Utopia. The mutant fell like a stone, but before hitting the floating citadel, he stopped dead. Magneto used his connection to planet Earth, anchoring himself with magnetic power, preventing the entity from pushing him further.

— How is it possible that you hit me? — Magneto asks, as his hands rise in the direction of the albino, now floating in front of him. Despite his external calm, Magneto is surprised. No one had been able to break through his electromagnetic barrier in that way.

The albino let out a mocking laugh as his clothes began to slowly disintegrate from the speed with which he flew through the air.

— What do you mean? Your defense is pathetic. I just had to use a magnetic field that passes through your body as if it were butter — the young man replied with a sneer.

Magneto gritted his teeth, his patience beginning to wear thin. The albino's constant mockery was unbearable to him. Just a few minutes ago, he had sent him flying into entire buildings and pierced his body like a skewer. Now, the psychic entity spoke as if it controlled the situation completely.

— My patience is wearing thin… — Magneto muttered, his eyes blazing with contained fury.

— Oh, really? Well, you should finish me off before I find one of your human mutants that I can use to reach my full power. Although of course, if you'd rather waste your time and attack me from behind, thinking that a mere human like you can defeat a god… — the entity continued, his arrogant smile spreading even further.

Those words were the spark that ignited Magneto's fury. Without wasting another second, the mutant raised his hands, and the ground began to shake. From deep within the Earth, huge fragments of rock, metal, and debris were torn from the ground by Magneto's immense magnetic force. With a quick gesture, those pieces of destruction swirled around him, forming a storm of destruction that he channeled directly towards the albino.

The huge chunks of earth and metal launched themselves towards the entity like a miniature meteor, propelled by Magneto's magnetic force.

The possessed body of the albino did nothing but watch with a disturbing calm. He didn't seem upset, nor scared. He simply waited for the impact, as if he enjoyed the spectacle.

*Crack!*

The first piece of metal hit him directly Magneto struck him in the face, sending his body several hundred meters into the sky. Before he could react, another massive fragment struck him from behind, shattering the air with a thunderous crash.

*Crack!*

The second impact was even more brutal. The earth around compressed under the pressure, raising a cloud of dust that enveloped everything in a fog of chaos. The area around was left unrecognizable, plunged into devastation. The cloud of dust and dirt floated in the sky like a tiny miniature planet, created by Magneto's absolute power.

But as the mutant master of magnetism hovered over the battlefield, his face was still grim. He knew that this battle was far from over. The entity had not delivered its final blow, and he would have to use every ounce of his power to end this threat... if that was even possible.

The impacts caused by the small meteorites begin to explode into thousands of pieces that quickly return attracted to the same point, with the power to pass through the flesh as if it were simple paper.

The spectacle of explosions was witnessed by its cause, now in his Utopia, moving higher and higher to get out of sight of the city, in search of carrying out his plans against humanity sooner than expected.

A few minutes after the avalanche of constant attacks ended, only multiple debris remained, reduced to tiny specks of dust floating and spreading through the air.

The constant and sudden explosions go through the city of Utopia like a natural catastrophe, caused by the flood of meteorites ignited by the Earth's atmosphere. In the same city, a white spot moves between the buildings at hypersonic speed, causing impacts in the air that fan the flames generated by the explosions and send the mutants who survived the hundreds of asteroids turned into flying in meteors attracted by the psychic entity.

The collapse of the city of Utopia has not yet occurred thanks to the incredible magnetic ability of its mutant ruler, who sends the enormous pieces of space flying out of his citadel towards the cosmos. Magneto floats in the sky, focused, his gaze fierce as he unleashes his magnetic power, protecting the city from destruction. But in his mind, he knows that the greatest threat is not the rubble, but the psychic entity that stalks him.

With the sight of his impending attack being deflected by the master of magnetism, the entity accelerates its body in an instant, leaving a wake of wind that is followed by a sonic boom. The air is torn as the albino, now possessed, appears behind Magneto, his speed defying the laws of physics.

The albino's fist is millimeters away from piercing the older mutant's head, but Magneto reacts in time, repelling the blow with a barrier of magnetic energy. However, the psychic entity, manifesting in the young albino's body, does not seem willing to give in. It has returned from the dead many times before and will do so as many times as necessary. This time, its gaze is fixed on Magneto, and its power seems to grow with each second.

Without wasting a moment, Magneto channels the maximum of his power, launching a devastating blow. The air around his fist crackles, distorted by the immense magnetic field surrounding it. The blow hits with titanic force, sending the psychic entity flying through the sky. But the albino's possessed body reacts almost immediately, as if the pain and damage had no effect on him. Manipulating the Earth's magnetic field, the young man attacks again, boosting his counterattack with unimaginable speed and strength.

*Explosion!*

The collision of both forces unleashes a shockwave that shakes Utopia. Buildings vibrate and, in a second, many are reduced to rubble. The devastation is immediate, and the citadel begins to crumble. The shockwave launches Magneto's body through the remains of the city, his unconscious body falling to the ground.

The psychic entity, watching the destruction with amusement on its face, floats above the rubble. With a wicked grin, it heads towards Magneto, who lies helpless among the ruins. It grabs him by the neck with tremendous strength, lifting him up as if he were a simple toy.

"You've been an interesting challenge, old man... but it's time for this world to suffer as it deserves," the entity whispers maliciously.

Increasing its speed exponentially, the psychic entity manipulates the vectors of the environment and its own body, using Magneto as a human soccer ball. With a brutal movement, it kicks him with tremendous force, directing him at an impressive speed in the direction of New York City.

The entity's intention is clear: it doesn't just want to destroy Magneto, but it intends to use his body as a deadly projectile, laying waste to the inhabitants and superheroes protecting the Big Apple.

As Magneto is flung into the air, his mind struggles to stay conscious. He feels gravity pulling at him, the wind howling in his ears, but deep within, he knows he cannot allow the entity to use him to destroy New York. He must regain control, must stop this chaos.

As he falls at supersonic speeds, his consciousness reactivates. He channels every last bit of his energies, feeling the planet's magnetic fields align to his will. His body begins to slow in midair, coming to a stop a few hundred meters above the city. The maneuver is exhausting, and Magneto falls to his knees on a nearby building, panting from the titanic effort he has just made.

From above, the psychic entity watches the scene with a grimace of irritation. "No matter how hard you fight, you cannot defeat me," he screams, unleashing a torrent of psychic power that shakes the air around him.

But Magneto, instead of answering with words, stretches his hands out to the sky. The metal that lies buried beneath New York City begins to shift, twisting and rising under his control. Skyscrapers, vehicles, and the very bowels of the earth begin to respond to his call, creating a gigantic field of floating debris.

"You may be immortal, but that doesn't mean you can't be defeated," Magneto mutters, his voice filled with determination. With a final gesture, he hurls the metal with unstoppable fury, directing it toward the psychic entity in an unstoppable charge. The skies fill with steel, concrete, and scrap metal, a deadly storm hurtling toward its target.

The battle between the mutant master of magnetism and the psychic entity has reached a critical point. The collision of such immense forces not only threatens to destroy Utopia, but to upset the balance of the entire planet. Magneto knows that the only way to stop this entity is to use all of his power… and perhaps sacrifice himself in the process.
