Chapter 2 - chapter 2

In Xavier's School for Young Talents, the psychotronic machine is found among its underground corridors, a device that is used by psychics to detect mutant humans, specifically. The Cerebro device amplifies the user's abilities. In the case of telepaths, it allows the user to detect traces of individuals on a global level. He is also able to distinguish between humans and mutants. He finds mutants by the mark of power they send when they use their abilities.

Using Cerebro can be extremely dangerous, and telepaths without trained and disciplined minds expose themselves to great risk by attempting to use it. As the device greatly augments natural psychic abilities, users who are unprepared for the enormity of this increased psychic input may die. However, the X-Men's most experienced telepath, Charles Xavier, uses his enormous psychic ability in order to find more Homo Superior. Now in his mansion, Xavier doesn't know why he can't find those previously detected by Cerebro.

The Professor's concern for the X-gene carriers leads him to review the latest mutant detected by Cerebro.

Upon feeling the latent telepathic power of a young man named Alexis Swain awaken, I thought about bringing him with the X-Men to our mansion, but suddenly his power seems to have disappeared or deactivated. I checked again, feeling his mind and the power of his latent X-gene again, like a whisper in the mental vastness. Intrigued, I mentally approached Alexis Swain, feeling the energy of his telepathy still present, but subtle, like a flickering flame.

Upon observation, I discovered that Alexis had experienced a sort of blockage in his telepathic powers, unable to fully access that facet of his mutation. I decided to offer him help and guide him to understand and control his abilities when his X-gen develops again. Currently, his whereabouts are unknown, like that of dozens of missing mutants. One of my students, Kurt, after escaping from his captors who were kidnapping ours, managed to bring back one of the kidnappers without problem; reading his mind like an open book was easy.

The information revealed the military area where young people and children were held with suppressive collars.

"Professor, I'll take care of those bastards," Logan said, taking out his adamantium claws and beer in hand.

"Logan, you don't need to go alone," I interrupted before he finished.

-We are X-Men, don't forget it. We do not submit, we dialogue for coexistence. However, these criminals must be stopped - I continued to finish with - I will go myself. My students stare at me with worried expressions.

-I'll stay on the jet, don't worry- my decision to the relief of Ororo and Scott was not to fight directly, I planned to take out the person behind this.

In a military area is the building covered in sunlight, the base of operations for the US government. The enigmatic figure of Magus watches over the prisoners in their respective rooms, in case any manage to free themselves.

It echoes as Cyclops' optic beams destroy the entrance. Alarms echo throughout the facility, preparing the guards for the confrontation. However, Wolverine and Beast's speed leaves the guards unable to react, effortlessly being thrown into the air as they tear apart the weapons. The clawed mutant, in a relentless siege, continues to advance.

The X-Men, coordinating their skills, quickly engage the turrets with a fierce storm, destroying the weapons at a distance. Nightcrawler, with a trail of blue smoke and a Bamf!, disappears and reappears, leaving enemies unconscious in his wake.

However, the momentary victory is marred when Charles, searching for trapped mutants, encounters a powerful psychic attack from the enemy. The intensity of the battle reaches new levels, and the enemy's ability to counterattack with psychic powers threatens to turn the tide of the fight.

The guards of the forty mutants trapped on the ground floor of the base could hear the sounds of the clash between homo sapiens and homo superior. The lost hope of some returned after their apparent rescue.

With Magus controlling the minds of the elite soldiers, he heads out to directly confront the X-Men.

The metal-skinned mutant, Colossus, makes the ground shake as he passes through it, being launched by his opponent, a mentally controlled super-strength X-gene carrier. The battle extends to the ground floor, where the Russian subdues the young man against the walls of the hallway. Just a powerful and kick in the lower parts to loosen it. The teenager proceeds to use his fists, hitting the kidneys, making his bloody knuckles resonate against the mutant's organic metal.

The unstable ground falls again before the boy's blows, unable to get up. Colossus, recovered and containing his blows, fights again.

"I'm sorry for this," Colossus said, connecting his metal fist into the abdomen of the teenager who lay crashed on the ground. The brutality of the battle manifests itself in every blow, as the X-Men fight not only against the controlled mutant's body, but also against the moral dilemma that this confrontation poses. The agony on Colossus's face reflects the internal struggle everyone faces when fighting a companion, even under enemy control. The line between the need to stop the threat and compassion for the controlled mutant blurs with each blow. As the ground thunders with the ferocity of the confrontation, the trapped mutants face not only a physical battle, but the fight they are watching.

A Storm, angered by the constant enemy attack and attempted mind control thwarted by Xavier, begins to summon enormous gusts of wind against Magus and the young man with a sonic scream. Wolverine and Hank simultaneously attack the elite soldiers who, throwing X-gene suppressor collars, are unable to hit.

Summers continues his fight defending Professor Xavier from the attacks on the jet. A deep struggle seen with his psychic power to find his students leads to the professor with Colossus freeing the captives much to his relief.

"Young mutants, do not fear. We are the X-Men. Your captors will be stopped and you will be safe"-he declared in their minds, witnessing his recent freedom.

Now I find myself in the mutant experimentation facilities where the kidnapped young people are, sending my students, the X-Men, to put an end to these experiments. With determination, I dove into the mutant experimentation facility, determined to free Alexis Swain and the other young men who had been kidnapped for these dark experiments. The vastness of the facility enveloped me as I used my telepathy to sense the minds of the captives.

Stealthily making my way through the hallways, I came across cells where young mutants lay, their abilities suppressed and their hopes extinguished. Alexis Swain, in particular, seemed to struggle with the block on his telepathic power.

As I released the young men one by one, I shared words of encouragement and promises that the X-Men were there to help them. Among the darkness of the facilities, a spark of hope emerged as the young mutants regained freedom helped by Piotr.

The calm of the rescue vanishes before the return of the sinister psychic energy released by the telepathic Magus, his name according to Kurt, releasing a familiar presence. I review my memories looking for that similar experience. The memories of Cairo return.

In a flash, I am mentally transported to that moment in Cairo. The darkness, the dancing shadows and the feeling that something dark is hovering over me. Magus, with his psychic energy, unleashes a haunting echo of that past encounter.

The family presence is revealed as an echo of the past, a connection between the present and that experience in Cairo. As Magus's psychic energy engulfs the scene, the truth behind this connection begins to unfold before me.

Despite the X-Men team's preparation to defeat Magus and his mental puppet, they are thwarted by the constant projections of psionic energy. At a critical moment, a sonic scream booms, launching Logan, who is ejected by telekinesis and embedded in rubble like a skewer.

The roar of combat fills the air as the X-Men struggle to hold their ground against Magus' onslaught of psychic power. Ororo Munroe, trying to contain her telekinetic fury, strives to protect her companions from him as they heal the mental wounds inflicted by the enemy.

The battle turns into a whirlwind of chaos. The combined powers of the X-Men seek to counter Magus' mastery of the psychic realm. However, the villain's henchman continues to launch his sonic scream into the scene of the fight every second, making every attempt at resistance a colossal challenge.

Bamf!

The battle is interrupted by Professor X with Colossus and Cyclops, brought by Nightcrawler, arriving to finish the fight. Finding himself completely cornered, Magus and his henchwoman attack, however, they are quickly neutralized by the X-Men.

Charles, stopping before Magus, uses his powers to engage in a mental and astral battle.

"Introduce yourself, Farouk or Shadow King, "Stop possessing the body of a young mutant and come face me" - Xavier declared on the astral plane.

"As always, Xavier, a meddler. You should know that I have returned for revenge, much stronger than ever. Previously you were powerful, now just an insect to me" - the entity of pure psychic energy that is fueled by a hatred of humanity always, manifesting itself by possessing humans, showing its psychic powers in an astral battle with Charles Xavier to gain control over the other.

Xavier, unfazed by the hateful words, calmly faces the entity of pure psychic energy that manifests before him. The room is filled with an intense aura as the minds of both collide in an astral battle, a duel that goes beyond the physical.

The entity, with its hatred of humanity as a source of power, displays impressive psychic abilities. However, Xavier, with his skill and experience, counterattacks with equally formidable force. In the realm of the mind, a war of wills is waged, each thought a strategy in the fight for control.

The air is charged with psychic tension, and the manifestations of power create a surreal spectacle in the astral battle. Voices and visions intertwine as both fight to impose their dominance over the other.

The entity, fueled by hate, attempts to undermine Xavier's resolve, but Xavier, with his empathy and resilience, clings to his purpose. The battle becomes a mental ballet, where Xavier's mind stands as a bastion against the entity's psychic onslaught.

The conclusion of this astral battle remains on the edge of uncertainty, as minds collide in a psychic dance that will determine who will prevail in this confrontation of wills and extraordinary powers.

The astral combat brings with it the defeat of King Sombra, ending his vendetta against Xavier. The pure energy entity, unable to accept his defeat, escapes from its current body for a new one, leaving the badly injured host stranded.

"You won't" - Professor X, with a psychic attack, plans to eliminate King Shadow.

"Not yet, Xavier, not yet"-he quickly dodges and possesses different bodies of soldiers looking for a telepath again.

"X-Men, stop him. Don't let him get a mutant body"-he ordered through his mind. Immediately, the chase ended when the body of the soldier was found passed out without a trace of him. Xavier quickly checked everyone in the area in seconds.

"The dark presence of Farouk in the body of an albino teenager named Alexis Swain" - warns the professor. The X-Men, with Xavier's warning, confront the possessed young man.

"It's time to stop" - said Scott Summers to the entity, with the others prepared for the next confrontation.

"Stop, impossible. They can't stop a god" - the mutant's body said grimly. In an instant, the ground creaked and heaved into pebbles with extreme speed against the X-Men.

The entity, with acquired telepathic and vector powers, launches itself against the X-Men.
