Chapter 281 - The Real Battle Begins

Dash was still not happy; he watched Devon's performance in the fight attentively and was very tense because she never held back against her opponents.

"Winner!"

When Devon emerged victorious, Dash handed her a towel to wipe off the sweat, and they both returned to the others. Some were being treated for wounds on their open faces, dislocated arms, and serious rib injuries.

"As expected, this tournament won't be easy. We are the only ones who have passed with three duos to the quarterfinals," Cheng said, watching as their last friends were defeated by the Koreans, eyeing them with a desire to finish them off.

Dash looked at Jake and said, "If that guy crosses paths with us, we can't let him go. We'll have to finish him so that one of us wins the tournament."

"Can't he be beaten?" Dre didn't understand Dash's judgment at that moment.

Cheng shook his head and said, "We won't come out unscathed from a fight with him. This is much more complicated than it appears."

Devon looked at Dash and remained silent. What they needed now was to know the quarter-final rankings, which would actually be the round of sixteen if they didn't fight in pairs. But now that the fights were much longer, so was the elimination.

"The Dragon Warriors are here."

Dre saw that he had to fight against a guy named Hawk and a girl named Tania. He didn't see many complications in that fight, so he wasn't worried.

Cheng had to fight against Robby. This was a good fight, as well as the previous one, which was truly wonderful. Both had a chance to win, but also to lose; everything depended on the possibilities.

"We're up against Jack and Kim." Devon looked at their rivals, so she couldn't help but glance in their direction. They had lost last time, but this time they would show how superior they were to them.

"Miguel will fight Jake; I'm afraid he's in danger." Dash wanted to warn Miguel, but he was stopped by Devon, who mentioned that there was no need to do so.

"They're not fools; they're fighters. If you go now, that would mean you're looking down on them, which is not your intention." Devon expressed her thoughts firmly.

Dash sighed, looked at the fight board, and said, "We're one of the first to compete."

...

"The quarter-finals have arrived."

Dash looked at Jack, who was getting ready to go up, so he also walked towards the stage set up for everyone to watch the fights better.

"Any advice, Mr. Han?"

"Just focus once you advance to the semifinal," Mr. Han said, pointing Dash in the direction he needed to go for his next match.

Devon didn't say anything; this fight was much better than she thought, as Jack had wanted to face Dash for a long time, and now the moment of that long-awaited fight had arrived.

"I would have liked to face you when there were no more unknowns, but it doesn't matter. May the best win." Dash saluted before getting into position.

Jack nodded and also got into position.

"Ready?"

The quarterfinals had officially begun!

"Fight!"
