Terry, who was at the new dojo—the old one that had always belonged to him—was working with the best students he had been able to gather so far.
They were all good, but none of them were good enough to beat the former members of the Dojo or Sakura Bushido, so he could only rely on Danny, who was improving a lot.
"You all have the best equipment, the best attention, and the best the best methods to become much stronger." Terry shouted, looking at his new students.
"Will this be enough to defeat the competition in the upcoming tournament?"
"Yes, sensei!"
Terry nodded and, looking at Danny, said, "Get them started with warm-ups."
"Understood!"
As Danny began training his peers, Terry walked over to a woman in the corner and asked, "What do you think of my students?"
Sensei Kim Dae-eun looked at all the current students of this dojo and shook her head. "They have a long way to go; they won't win anything with those skills."
"That's why I called you; I want you to train them with our master's most polished style. I promise you that in Cobra Kai, we will uphold the legacy of your grandfather, my master. When we win the Sekai Taikai, if we manage to teach Danny, he will be unstoppable." Terry spoke with complete confidence in his words.
Kim Dae-eun fell silent; she wouldn't be here if she didn't believe in Terry's words and all his promises. It was a unique opportunity now that Karate was once again thriving in the world.
For Terry, local teachers were useless if he wanted to win the tournament that was about to take place in a few months. He suspected that the champion of Sakura Bushido was no longer interested in participating in that tournament; he thought it would be difficult to win over the entire valley, but when he learned that the influence of the champions' dojo preferred to remain reserved for true fighters, he believed he would have a chance.
At this point, there were only two significant rivals left, and they were the star students of those who considered him their enemy. All of this was pathetic, but without giving too much importance to that, he wanted to focus on his path to reach world levels.
"Danny is a monster; I heard that his uncle treated him like a dog to be a natural fighter when he grew up. Unfortunately, his uncle was killed, and that young man fell into the hands of one of the orphanages he financed. I don't have children, but he is now my stepson and future champion."
"He has the will; it seems that he only knows how to fight, and I see that he has many complications to measure his strength." Kim Dae-eun knew what she would work on with Danny, who seemed to be a beast.
When Kim Dae-eun was about to approach Terry's star student, a worker approached and said, "There are two young people looking for you; they say they want to congratulate you on the opening of the dojo."
"Let them in." Terry wasn't expecting visitors, but he sensed who his guests were.
Kim Dae-eun was also curious; she looked towards the entrance and saw two teenagers looking around with a friendly smile.
"Sorry for the inconvenience; she is Devon Lee, and I am Dash Hale. We just wanted to stop by to congratulate you on behalf of Sakura Bushido for your grand opening." In front of the duo of masters, Dash, who was dressed casually, bowed to greet these people with respect because they were not really enemies, and he didn't plan to be one.
Devon also bowed, showing the respect that these dojo masters deserved.
"Young Hale, the champion of Sakura Bushido, will always be welcome at the new Cobra Kai if your visit is friendly. What else brings you here, besides congratulating us?" Terry had been on alert since he had taken the dojo from Johnny, given the hostility of that day.
"I was just curious to know who the fighter was that defeated my friends a few days ago. Besides, I just wanted to make sure that the Valley Dojos were not on bad terms, as that would affect Sakura Bushido's reputation." Dash said this with a calm look on his face; he wasn't upset about what happened with this dojo since Terry was now the owner of the dojo.
Terry was surprised to hear Dash's kindness. He didn't expect there to be sensible fighters in this valley, but it seemed that there were, and that relieved him a little.
"We meet again, young Dash Hale; you have grown much more than I expected since then." Kim Dae-eun knew Dash since he had defeated her students in a tournament in South Korea.
Devon recognized this woman and said, "Master Kim, I remember you now."
This woman had given Devon some advice when Devon had lost in the Fermina division. Thanks to that, Devon had become much stronger than she would have achieved back then.
"I didn't expect you two to know each other." Terry was surprised once again.
"That was a long time ago."
"So, do you plan to participate in the New Valley tournament?" Kim Dae-eun asked, somewhat interested.
Dash shook his head and said, "We are preparing for another much more important tournament. We have won many times in this place, so now we will give you the opportunity since we will let talented stars shine."
"Then let me show you the new star of my dojo, who is also my son." Terry pointed to the teenager, who was approaching after being called.
Dash looked at this young fighter, who seemed to have some disorder, but regardless, he greeted him. "I hope you can participate in the upcoming Dojo World tournament; I am sure that if you win the Valley tournament, you will be one of the selected."
"Do you want to fight?" Danny felt Dash's hands so similar to his own, so he thought that he was here to fight.
"Not for now, but we will surely fight at some point." Dash looked at Terry and said, "I hope your differences or those of certain people are resolved in the tournament; that is the healthiest way to show who the best are."
"We think the same way; thank you for being considerate." Terry smiled slightly, knowing that Dash wouldn't participate in the tournament.
"Then we'll take our leave; we hope to see you again." Devon and Dash bowed before leaving.
When they left, Terry asked Kim next to him, "Do you think they're lying?"
"They're not; they won't participate."
"Then this tournament is ours."
