Chapter 261 - Letting Time Pass

"So, are we not going to compete in the upcoming tournament?" Devon looked surprised at Dash's words just mentioned.

Things in the Valley were spiraling out of control in an unpredictable way, and Dash had no intention of diminishing the prestige his dojo had gained over the years.

Regarding the significance of each confrontation and their value, Dash wouldn't risk the last titles he could obtain just to have completed everything.

He would leave the fighting and the dominance of a place known for good tournaments to the dojos that were more interested in winning this year.

"We'll continue training for the world doubles tournament; we'll have to win and dominate the Sekai Tankai," Dash said while eating a lemon popsicle, observing the landscape before his eyes.

He was a bit tired of this life full of fights; he was an undisputed undefeated champion within the leagues he had participated in and had not much more to prove.

He had won everything multiple times, but the only thing left was to dominate the Sekai Tenkai in doubles, and that's what he would do alongside Devon, who had prepared quite well.

"Of course, if you want to compete with the younger ones, you can." Dash wouldn't stop Devon from doing what she wanted.

"It doesn't matter; we have much more experience, and I think it would be very cheeky of us to continue participating in that tournament." Devon was not very excited about continuing to fight in the women's division either; she had also shown a lot in all her fights.

Seeing them both this way, the months began to pass very quickly, and things, as expected, began to get more and more agitated.

The best for Sakura Bushido was to stay away from those problems; Dash didn't know that things could have gotten so out of control, and he truly didn't care. Somehow, he knew that in the end something would happen; maybe one of the two sides would reconsider, and everything would return to normal.

"Kenny and Antony can train together; maybe they are the great promises of our dojo." Dash wanted to stay as far away from tournaments that didn't offer him what he had won before; if he wanted to go further, he had to win everything.

The best could demand whatever they wanted since Dash had never been defeated.

"Is it a good idea?" Devon had heard that Antony was the boy who bothered Kenny and was also from the Larrusso family.

"We just have to let them hit each other enough; that will release everything they have inside, and I think they could even become friends." Dash believed that the relationship between those two boys still had a remedy; at least it hadn't crossed the line, and there was intervention in time.

But for now, Dash would let time pass and prepare for the world doubles tournament. That tournament would undoubtedly be one of the most incredible he had been to; it was no wonder it was held every two years.

"Let's go to the dojo; at least we should practice the choreography."

Devon was tired; she had been studying choreography for a long time, and they still had no progress. Even because of the tournament changes, they didn't know if they were integrating it or not.

Now all they had left was to train; maybe these would be the last great tournaments they would participate in at their age before the World Olympics.
