Chapter 222 - The Arrival

"Wasabi Warriors? How does that sound like Korean food?" Johnny looked at the Wasabi Warriors' flags and immediately criticized the name.

Daniel, beside him, almost had a vein explode on his forehead and said, "Wasabi is a plant used as a condiment in Japanese cuisine. Where did you read it's from Korea?"

"I don't read," Johnny said as he walked towards his students to give them orders.

Chozen got off the bus, stretched, and muttered, "My back isn't what it used to be; I'll need a therapist."

Daniel was left speechless. He couldn't believe the kind of team that had been formed to represent the school, and he wasn't exactly sure why he was in this place.

In the distance, Dash had descended with a huge flag on his back and shouted, "Anyone not cheering for the team because they're looking for a girlfriend in this school will be beaten in a group until they cry blood."

"Yes!"

The Sakura Bushido boys began to arrive in groups, and their task was to deliver T-shirts, sweets, and job opportunities as part of the family.

"How smart I am; what matters now are the businesses..." Dash had shared his goal of buying a good house before leaving school.

Demetri, who was alone as moral support, said, "How clever these guys are. Do they manage the businesses around here? We should demand half of the profits; they're making money at our expense."

"Who do you think finances the tournament?" Devon asked, ignoring Demetri's useless complaints.

"That makes sense."

"Let's go, Cobra Kai!" Johnny shouted as he advanced with his students, lined up as if they were in the middle of a military base.

Dash was amazed at their resistance to shame and said, "I couldn't do that."

"We have to gather everyone; we need to boost morale," Devon said, seeing how lively the surroundings were.

But Dash simply walked towards a hot dog stand and ordered two. After all, they had to eat, and what better place to do it than here?

"If that hurts you later, I hope it's not in the middle of the competition."

"Are you sure you don't want any?" Dash asked, slightly surprised that Devon wasn't interested in eating when it was one of his well-hidden hobbies.

When they entered the school facilities, Dash didn't have to participate in many routines since the other senseis would take care of that.

"Listen well!" Chozen said, ignoring the fact that Sakura Bushido's best student was next to him, enjoying some huge hot dogs.

"This competition should be taken as preparation for the national dojo competition in pairs. You shouldn't think about anything other than your own strategies, and remember that now all of you together belong to a single team."

Johnny, on the side, shouted loudly, "Remember to break all their bones!"

"Train your defense; it's not important to win but to learn." Daniel, who was like water against fire, said these words to his now larger group of students.

Chozen frowned and said, "Despite the differences, you must find a balance and know that you are the only ones aware of your surroundings."

"Does that mean you're calling the others stupid?" Demetri appeared behind Chozen and said these words while holding some huge churros.

Chozen, who turned around, said, "Both senseis don't agree, so we'll ignore the fact that they have different mentalities. If you can't understand your differences and complement each other, it means we're not a strong team."

"Despite having understood and limited the problems, I'm sure they'll have a long way to go for everyone to understand their differences," Dash said, putting his arm around Devon's shoulders, who was more serious than usual.

Dash had learned that she wanted to officially defeat Kim, and when Devon sets her mind to something, she fights so hard that it's impossible for anyone to stop her.

By the time each sensei gave a short speech to their respective students, a competition administrator said, "Students participating, go to the mat. The rest can go to the reserved seats for you."

Dash looked at Devon and said, "Good luck; I look forward to your victory."

"I'll take care of winning this competition," Devon said as she said goodbye to Dash with a small kiss.

Once the students were ready, Dash entered with the others into a gigantic pavilion, where at least a thousand people were eagerly waiting to see them fight.

"Darn it; I hope to see some blood."

"The women's fights will surely be the most boring; we can go look for a girlfriend while they fight."

Dash heard comments of all kinds, but ignoring all of them, he sat down and said, "No fighting as an audience; endure, and only strike back if they're the first to hit."
