Chapter 177 - Champions Face Off

"All right, as the current champion, it's a real fortune for Miguel to face Dash. This match will determine who is stronger and will resolve many of our doubts," Hawk said, so excited that he completely forgot about his own loss.

Dash, in the distance, smiled. He really wanted to know at what level Miguel stood, and now he was about to find out. But as he was about to advance, Devon stopped him and began tying his long hair into a ponytail.

"His kicks are good, he's fast and skilled, so don't underestimate him," Devon whispered to Dash, who looked like a little kid about to play in the sandbox.

Dash nodded, looked at Devon, and said, "I'll be fine; your boyfriend has yet to experience defeat."

"Quite surprising, but remember that the only person who has beaten you is me," Devon smiled as she stepped back.

"Let's go, Dash, show him who the real champion is!"

"Come on, Miguel, show him who the current champion is!"

Johnny was nervous. Although things had gone as he thought they would, he didn't know the result of the next match because he wasn't familiar with Dash's fighting style and didn't know what he was currently capable of.

Approaching his sensei, Johnny asked, "Who do you think will win?"

"Your student still has a long way to go if he wants to beat that guy. The kid from Sakura Bushido is currently unbeatable in his age group," Kreese said without any doubt. For him, Dash was invincible, and that's something no one in their age could change.

Johnny nodded; Dash had been a five-time champion of the All Valley and had numerous championships to his name. Miguel had a strong rival ahead, so he had to do his best to demonstrate authority.

Miguel, with an absolutely serious expression, looked at Dash, then said, "You don't know how long I've been waiting for this."

"I like the confidence in your eyes, but remember exactly where you are positioned and whom you are facing." Dash's calm expression changed so much that he seemed to have turned into another person. His expression, personality, posture, and breath underwent changes in an instant, making Miguel nervous.

The referee, Chozen, who was watching both of them, said, "You know the drill, three points for the winner. Ready? Attention, Bow, face each other, Bow!"

"Fight!"

Dash didn't want to wait for the match; he took a step forward and launched a fast direct attack to Miguel's face, who quickly retreated.

Pum!

In an instant, a powerful blow was received by Miguel's defense, and he immediately felt a numbing pain that made him change his expression.

But it wasn't enough to stop him; he was excited because he was facing a powerful opponent, so he countered with a kick.

Dash, keeping his eyes wide open, leaned, slid his body, and hit the kick holding Miguel's body, who, upon receiving the blow, fell to the ground.

"Ready!" Miguel got up instantly, feeling very impressed that he had been knocked down without even giving him time to react. And just when he thought he would be fine, a kick landed on his shoulder, sending him directly off the mat.

"Point!"

"You expose your weak points too much; you think you're fast, but you don't know that there are people even faster than you!" Dash said as he returned to his position while raising his guard, something many had never seen before.

Miguel shook his arms and said nothing; he wasn't used to Dash's martial arts, so he didn't exactly know how to defend himself.

"I must admit, that kick was amazing." Hawk, who didn't know how to react first, praised Dash's kick and then supported Miguel.

"Dash has been training and competing for over five years. Besides having more experience, he knows things we don't know," Bert said, sitting outside the mat.

Tory, who had been impressed by Dash's kick, understood a bit more about him. There's no doubt that Miguel will have a tough time facing him. "Do you know how many times he has lost?"

"No one has beaten him; he remains undefeated since he started with martial arts." Aisha was well aware of Dash's fights as she was a bit of a fan before starting training.

Looking at each other defiantly, both fighters were ready to continue the match that had only just begun.

"Ready? Fight!"
