The next day, Dash gathered the ten students from his dojo who would participate in the friendly competition against Cobra Kai as soon as classes ended.
"Are you all aware that we are going to a presentation of friendly matches?" Dash asked the ten students who were in a van modified to accommodate more than ten people.
Victor looked ahead and gave a thumbs up to indicate that he was aware. "We're going to fight against Cobra Kai!"
"Yes, we'll show them what real Sakura Bushido Karate is!"
"We're going to break their bones!"
Devon, who was sitting at the front, shook her head at the enthusiastic boys and put on headphones to stay calm during the trip.
There were three girls from Cobra Kai, and the rest were boys. In total, including Dash, there were only ten selected students chosen randomly, and they would all be guided by Mr. Chozen.
Seeing that everyone was aware, Dash sat next to Devon and rested his head on her shoulder, causing her to slightly open her eyes in surprise.
"Not even cats are this clingy. Is something going on?" Devon asked, smiling at Dash.
Dash thought that Devon's comment might be a compliment, but he didn't respond immediately. Instead, he took out his cell phone and started browsing social media.
Technology had evolved a lot lately, and Dash could say that there was little difference from the time he died. At least now, cell phones were much better, and the internet and social media had gained popularity, making everything progress faster.
"I plan to get this tattoo, what do you think?" Dash showed Devon the tattoo he wanted to get but was unsure about. Sure, it looked cool, but nowadays, having tattoos on the body was not normal, and many people might mistake you for an average delinquent.
Devon became interested in this, but when she saw the tattoo, she fell silent. The tattoo Dash wanted to get was a Western dragon that would cover his entire left arm, part of his chest where the dragon's head would be, and part of his neck just below the ear.
To be honest, it looked incredible, but it was a decision that could only be made once in a lifetime since it would cost more than money. That's why Devon thought about it. It's not that Dash would lose points in his appearance by having that tattoo, but it really was ten times larger than the previous one.
"Have you been bored lately?" Devon asked, looking directly at Dash.
Dash smiled and said, "Not really, just thought it would look cool when I take off my shirt."
"Well..." Devon thought about it and really believed that he would look great, but she wasn't sure if she approved of something like that.
Dash sighed, removed the cellphone from Devon's view, and said, "I also consider that I should tell my parents about this; they should know before I do it..."
"Will there be any difference?" Devon didn't believe that Dash wouldn't get the tattoo if his parents denied it.
"It will be a little different..." Dash hadn't thought about this, but Devon was right.
As time passed, the distance to their destination became shorter, and after ten short minutes, they had arrived at the Cobra Kai Dojo, where absolutely all its members were waiting.
"Keep your behavior in check because this is the first time Sakura Bushido has done something like this. You are representing not only our martial arts school but also your classmates who didn't have the opportunity to come," Chozen said as he got off the van.
After arriving, Dash stood up and was the first to get off, followed by Devon, Victor, and the rest of the students who showed no emotion on their faces. Everyone's personalities had completely changed. Those who had not participated in the Valley tournament had come to this dojo to show that Sakura Bushido is not a simple school.
Chozen, who reached the dojo entrance, soon saw Johnny and Kreese, both Sensei of Cobra Kai, who approached immediately to greet them.
"Welcome, I hope you had a good trip here!" Johnny said a bit nervously as he saw Chozen, who was someone different from Mr. Kim, whom he had met before.
Chozen extended his hand and said, "You must be Sensei Johnny; I had the opportunity to meet you through the words of Mr. Daniel. I believe there is something familiar that you and I have had with him."
"First, come in; our students are nervous about meeting their opponents in the matches," Kreese said, not wanting to hear anything unrelated to karate, so he invited them inside.
Dash, who was leading the students, soon reached the mat. They all took off their shoes in their respective places, and because they were dressed in their black uniforms, there was no need to change.
Dash had recommended this because this dojo didn't have changing rooms. So, after knowing that, it was better for everyone to come prepared.
"Atten-hut!" Dash shouted as he stood in front of Cobra Kai's students, and after all Sakura Bushido students heard his order, they all formed a line side by side.
Dash, with a serious expression, said, "Salute!"
Shortly after, everyone bowed briefly as a greeting and, after doing so, they assumed a resting position.
Chozen, who maintained his smile, said, "Thank you for your invitation; we'll be in your care."
"Cobra Kai, salute!" Johnny didn't want to be intimidated by the good discipline of someone who would be his enemy today, so he immediately made his students salute too.
Kreese smiled and said, "Today we'll have a very important day. As you know, there will be ten opponents with whom each of you will test your skills. The matches will end when the students of Sakura Bushido are defeated, or conversely, all of you are defeated. Each student from both dojos will fight until they are defeated. Any questions?"
"No, Sensei!"
Chozen smiled and also said, "Regardless of the results, I hope each of you enjoys this exchange of skills between both friendly dojos."
"Yes, Sensei!"
"Then, let's start with warm-ups, and in ten minutes, we begin," said Johnny, who, although he remained serious, was really nervous.
