Chapter 147 - Changes

Dash, with his arm extended towards the tattoo artist, looked at Devon, who was taking photos, and said, "It doesn't hurt, I can assure you..."

"I told you, pain is only in the mind," Eli said, watching as Dash got an incredible tattoo of a dry tree.

Devon silently laughed, looked at Dash, and from a distance, knew that he was enduring the pain he was feeling right now.

In a few hours, the pain began to decrease, and the tattoo was completed. Dash had a hard time hiding the pain, but in the end, he was fine. So, after paying, he went with Devon to spend the rest of the day in a more relaxed way.

It had been a while since he went out, so appreciating the scenery was good from time to time.

Sitting in a park, Dash looked into the distance, pointing at a couple of birds, and said, "Mr. Chozen is coming this way. Do you think it was a good idea to invite him to be our Karate Sensei?"

He had invited Mr. Chozen to teach at Sakura Bushido after his father got him a house. He had been thinking about it a lot, and it seemed like a good idea, so he decided to insist in the end.

But he also wanted to hear Devon's thoughts. She was his girlfriend and a trusted companion to whom he could tell everything he thought, so it would be a good idea to hear what she thought.

"Now that I know the whole story, wouldn't things heat up more when Mr. LaRusso sees Mr. Chozen, with whom he had a life-or-death duel in his youth?" Devon looked at Dash as if to make sure he understood what was happening.

Dash raised a thumb and said, "You've understood it perfectly, but it won't be as dramatic as with Daniel's relationship with Cobra Kai. Mr. Chozen is now a man of peace, and I'm sure he wants to be on good terms with Daniel."

That Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do had their problems was something Devon could understand to a certain extent, but now that Sakura Bushido was joining the game, it was both boring and silly.

Dash lowered his voice and said, "Although in a way, it's a good idea to stay close, I'm sure the bomb will eventually explode with that rivalry that is being taken further and further."

"Why exactly should we do that?" Devon looked at Dash with confusion. Why should other people's problems be their problems?

Dash thought for a moment and said, "We go to the same school. If these two dojos start showing rivalry, things will get more and more out of control. At some point, they could even ruin the reputation of karate, which has gained a lot of fame so far."

"Now it makes much more sense. But wouldn't it be better for the adults to solve all their problems before that happens?" Devon didn't understand what the big deal was.

Dash then smiled. "That's why I bring in Mr. Chozen. He'll resolve any differences with Mr. Johnny and Daniel, only then would we have a much healthier tournament."

Certainly, this could have ended from the beginning, but if things continue to escalate in this way, everything could go out of control at some point.

Devon agreed with Dash, so both discussed Mr. Chozen before deciding to go back home.

Things were getting interesting, but now with a national tournament in which Dash would participate, it would be good to have a local competition to form a good team and participate nationally.

"One step closer to success..."

...

A few days later, Dash knew that Mr. Chozen had landed at the airport and had been taken directly to the house where he would live from now on. That's why he immediately dragged Devon to greet him, betting that he would be a great sensei for Sakura Bushido.

"Have you had a good trip?" Dash walked towards where Mr. Chozen was and greeted him with a hug as he saw him so joyfully coming out of the house.

"Traveling by plane has always been comfortable, especially in first-class seats, hahaha!" Chozen said while greeting Dash and inviting him and Devon inside.

Throughout the day, they talked about what they would do and the many things that would change. Although Chozen wanted to give Daniel a good scare after learning that he was at war with Cobra Kai, Dash told him it wasn't the right time yet.
