By the time classes ended, Dash spent some time at Devon's house before deciding to visit the new Dojo that had been opened. He couldn't help but mention that he was very excited about it.
As they were on their way to the Dojo, they didn't talk about anything special, but it wasn't a boring day either because nothing is truly boring.
A few more minutes of driving, Dash parked outside the Dojo and got out while looking at the Cobra logo. Just outside, there was a woman who, for obvious reasons, seemed to be homeless, and before entering, Dash took out a bill.
"Oh no, kid, this lady may live on the street, but I don't offer my body for money."
Devon, who was silent, mocked Dash when she saw his indescribable expression. "Haha, I never thought this would happen someday."
Dash filled with regret when he heard Devon's continuous teasing and, after taking a deep breath, said, "It's for her to buy some clothes. The cold season is coming, so she should buy something warm."
"Isn't it fake?"
"I would take it if I were you; lately, there are many counterfeit bills circulating in the country..." Devon, who enjoyed Dash's small misfortunes, couldn't help but say this.
After the awkward and amusing moment for Devon, Dash felt a bit annoyed and chose not to talk for a while. He felt a bit offended and embarrassed for some reason, and in confusion, Dash entered the Dojo that seemed to be open.
Devon, who was in a good mood, entered and took off her shoes just before stepping on the mat, looking around before seeing two familiar trophies. "Look at these trophies; I never thought they would be similar to ours."
Dash looked in the direction Devon was pointing, so he approached and said, "Since it's a very traditional tournament, they must be very keen on making the trophies similarly..."
Although he was a bit annoyed, it didn't mean that he was really upset with Devon. This annoyance was directed towards himself for several reasons.
"Are you interested in learning how to throw punches?" At that moment, the voice of an older man came from what seemed to be an office.
Dash turned and saw John Lawrence, Johnny to be more precise if you used his nickname. This was the man Dash was very familiar with, so after seeing him, he approached to greet him.
"Sorry for entering without notifying anyone; we saw it open, so we thought it was open." Dash greeted Johnny formally, who seemed more excited than he would normally be.
"So, are you here to join the Dojo?" Johnny looked at these two young people who seemed interested in the Dojo, so he asked very enthusiastically.
Dash smiled uncomfortably and said, "We just wanted to see the place. We had heard that a Dojo had opened, and it was the historic Cobra Kai, which was a champion twice in the past."
When he heard these words, Johnny, who seemed very excited, sighed and stopped paying much attention. To be honest, he was very interested in having students to pay the bills, but if these two young people weren't interested in joining the Dojo, there was no need to talk about the past.
"It's an honor that you know the Cobra Kai of the past, but now all that past will stay buried in those dates, and what you're seeing will be a new Cobra Kai that will eventually regain its former glory."
Devon frowned and pointed out, "You say it's not related to the past, but you want to seek the glory of the past? Those would be two similar topics that contradict your words."
"What do you mean?" Johnny frowned, evidently confused.
Dash at this point intervened directly, "What Devon means is that you want to leave some things in the past, but you're using others to teach. You should consider changing the routine a bit."
Johnny turned his head slightly and asked, "What's your name?"
"Dash, pleased to meet you, Sensei." Dash extended his hand again.
"Devon, nice to meet you, Sensei!"
Unaware of Johnny's thoughts, Dash walked through the Dojo and said, "I understand that you don't have students..."
Johnny coughed a bit and said, "I have one student; he's so strong that he fought against ten gang members and beat them all with one hand."
At that very moment, as if Johnny summoned his bad luck, a voice came from the door, "Oh my God, Sensei, a damn duck just beat me up."
By the time Miguel, who had arrived at the Dojo, entered, he shouted these words since he knew the place was always empty. However, when he entered, he fell silent upon seeing two unfamiliar people in front of him.
"Sensei, about the duck..."
"Quiet, go change!" Johnny shouted very annoyed to have boasted about his student Miguel Diaz and have him ruin it the next moment.
"I'll tell you about the duck later..." Miguel disappeared from the place, going straight to the bathrooms to change.
Dash, who turned to see the student Johnny was talking about, was surprised that it was Miguel. It seems that his potential in karate should be at a very high level to be a student and the first one in this place.
He didn't know why, but now it seems that the roles used in the previous story involving Daniel LaRusso had been reversed, and now Dash's challenging talent for the tournament would be Miguel.
"I don't want to take much of your time; I just wanted to make you a proposal." Dash shook his head and directed his attention to Johnny, who seemed uncomfortable.
"Tell me, what do you have in mind?" Johnny asked in a rushed tone.
"Are you willing to join your Dojo with the Sakura Bushido martial arts school?"
