It was a pleasant day in the fall, considered by many as the best time to travel due to the scenic beauty. However, in other places, it meant things could get tight.
It was officially the opening day at Sakura Bushido. Those who hadn't consistently trained at the dojo during Mr. Kim's vacations would have to start doing so if they didn't want to be expelled.
Upon entering the dojo, which had undergone many renovations, there were shelves filled with trophies, awarding first place to Dash, Devon, and other prizes that students from Sakura Bushido had won.
"Have you heard anything about the opening of a new dojo in the mall?" Victor, now a fifteen-year-old teenager, entered and asked Matteo and Adam, who were beside him.
Since classes were in the afternoon, many could arrive at any time, but that wasn't a possibility for new students enrolling today in the Kung Fu and Karate school.
Adam took off his shoes at the entrance and furrowed his brows upon hearing that question, sparking his curiosity. "What dojo was opened?"
"One for Karate, if I remember correctly, its name was Cobra Kai..." Victor, who had visited that mall as it was close to his home, was surprised when he saw a new dojo opening.
Understanding how challenging it was for a dojo to have students, especially when Karate in this area seemed to be dying each passing year, they knew the struggle.
Matteo, who left his shoes on the side, said, "They'll have a hard time getting good students. It took this place five years to have more than thirty main students and around forty apprentices. Although the numbers increase every month, the dropouts balance everything, and it's truly regrettable."
"That's not important. I researched the All Valley tournament a while ago, and it turns out that Cobra Kai was an old dojo that was very famous in the past. That means it could become very famous again in a short time," Victor shared what he had discovered.
"What does that matter? Karate in the Valley is not the same as years ago, it's even worse even though we've been undefeated champions in the male division for five consecutive years, which is historic in the competition," Adam agreed upon hearing that and added, "Moreover, if the dojo has just opened, it might not have the chance to win a championship."
"But the name is great; they'll surely do well."
"Then why don't you switch dojos? We are champions in different tournaments abroad, and there's even a Kung Fu school in China that is the main branch of Sakura Bushido. No other Karate dojo can have the same fame as us," Matteo suggested.
Considering this, Matteo said, "That may be true, but there's still a pretty significant dojo we haven't defeated yet, and we will face them in the national Karate dojo tournament that Dash will participate in."
"It's still two years away; is it really important now?" Adam couldn't believe they were having this conversation.
"What I mean is that we're not the best in the country until we have that title," Victor disagreed.
Devon shook her head and said, "We'll get it. Dash couldn't compete last year because he went to China for that Kung Fu tournament, so we'll have the opportunity to participate in two more years since Devon reached the final."
"It's a shame she lost due to an injury..."
"It's not nice to cheat, but I hope she didn't hear you, or she'll break some bones during training."
Just as the three were entering the dojo, they heard a charming voice behind them. "Not mention what?"
"Shit..."
"You guys are idiots; you shouldn't have mentioned that..."
"Damn, why blame me? It's not like there's a curse for doing so..."
The bronze trio turned around and saw Devon standing next to Dash, smiling at them amicably. "Do you have something to say?"
"Did she hear us?" Dash mumbled silently while looking at Devon behind her.
Dash nodded and said, "She's going to mess with you today!"
Victor was sweating cold and quickly said, "We were talking about the new dojo!"
Dash raised an eyebrow and asked, "New dojo?"
"Yes, that new dojo called Cobra Kai, never mind, we weren't really talking about anything else..." Victor mumbled as he was abandoned by Matteo and Adam, who silently entered the dojo.
Just when he thought Devon would start bothering him, she turned to Dash and said, "Isn't that the dojo you told me about some time ago? From what we heard, it closed a long time ago. Where is that dojo now?"
Victor's eyes lit up, and when he saw Dash, he quickly said, "It's nearby, right in the oldest mall."
"We'll talk about that later..." Dash left the conversation because he was very confused.
Did Cobra Kai reopen the dojo?
He didn't remember seeing anything related to Daniel LaRusso's story even after watching the three movies, but just before his death, he had heard something about plans to continue the story.
Now that Cobra Kai has returned, it means everything continued thirty-four years after the ancient events. The refore, following the reopening of the Cobra Kai Dojo, this should be John Lawrence and the revival of his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso.
"Are you okay?" Devon, who was more observant, saw Dash silent for a moment.
"I'm a little surprised. I didn't think Cobra Kai would come back, so we must visit them when we have time." Dash, who thought things in this place would become less boring, got a little excited. That means many things, so he shouldn't get bored so soon.
"Train the newcomers; I'll start the class."
