Boss looked around the camp, his gaze as cold as ice. They would arrive at their destination in an hour. He was not the least bit afraid of failing, his plan was far too perfect. The same line he has been repeating to himself for years, and in all truth if it wasn't perfect it was as close as you were going to get. Boss thought out every variable, he made multiple backup plans, and even built an army so strong a country would feel threatened. However in this moment he was the closest he has ever been to calling the whole thing off.
Boss looked again at his commanders, all loyal, all will follow him to his death. If he gave the command to march through hell they would have started the preparation a day in advance. All of them have achieved impressive strength. So much so that even if the soldiers who they command are relatively weak, they make up for their shortcomings. Boss has always had a way for finding the strong, in this way he made five divisions, each with their own expertise. But the strongest is his praetorian guard AKA the first division, many would wonder why a man as powerful as boss would need a guard, but he has always been a man of precautions. He wholeheartedly believes that with his support him and his guard could take down a heavenly defiant monster.
Some part of Boss wanted to just get this over with, to just tell his men to charge, or even raid them alone, but he knew a true strategist knows when to be patient. As Sun tzu once said a victorious warrior wins first then goes to war, while a defeated warrior goes to war first then seeks to win.
Riken walked up to Boss with his arms crossed.
"There are a few captains, twenty Commanders, one lord, and a couple generals." Riken reported.
"Just as planned, that senile old man has left, all the others are within expectations. But say Riken, that girl you brought back, do you know her name?"
"I do not."
"Hmm, I could have sworn her face felt familiar." Boss mused.
Riken stared blankly with his cold dead eyes, he had already kneeled, and showed every concern to Boss's mood.
"I don't know her, but Qortez might. He has been acting off ever since we brought her here." Riken replied.
"I have already lost interest." Boss mumbled. He walked with power till he found himself in front of Krave. Although a monster he has been with Boss's group for multiple decades and worked his way up to commander of division five.
"Boss?" Krave asked, he was mid conversation with some of his men.
"You're up, feel free to kill as many teachers, and guards as you want, just spare the target. Anyways your main job is to just distract, division two will do the nabbing."
"I shall do as you command my lord." Krave kept his tone professional, but he couldn't keep the smile off his face.
