Chapter 23 - Kids.

In a field outside the school.

"Well, what a first day." William grumbles.

Somehow after their struggle they found a common bond.

"You're telling me. Your Master forced them to cancel all the classes." Cassandra Added.

William couldn't help but think, Cassandra's face had a beauty to it, rugged and hidden, but beauty nonetheless. That thought slipped his mind, as he remembered the girl from his dream.

"So, how was he? In training you, I mean." She asks.

"Oh, those two weeks were unforgettable. He was harsh at times but I knew he wanted the best for me. You know what I mean? Why don't we do that duel, you know like what we were gonna do this morning?" William urged to get his mind off things.

"That, now that sounds like it might be fun." She agreed.

She stood preparing her fists. He matches her. In a combat of purely martial arts, William finds himself to be a bit lacking. Yes he was trained by his Master, yes he was taught his grandpa's secret technique, and yes he was able to beat his Master, which he's sure she wouldn't be able to do. But her smile is that of a beast who has never seen defeat, and her stance says she's going to fight to near death.

William's grandpa's technique was nothing all that special, all it teaches is how to move all your muscles in your body to perform a perfect punch, his grandpa was able to amplify his pouch 6 times. Thus proving another reason none of those bastards should have been able to kill him. William saw one of his hits blow the head off a semi Leviathan class monster. He may not be able to go that far but achieving 1.5 the amount of power should be possible.

Raising his fists, William watched her with an eager eye. She stares back at him doing much the same. If he aims to win this, William needs to surprise her with one blow. She inches towards him, her toes pointed towards the sky like a swooping hawk. She performs a quick back kick, colliding with William's pre-prepared arm. Crack. The blow blocked by his unflinching arm, created a sound so thunderous that it sent the birds running. Be it him or her, he was unable to tell but the loud crack could only signify one thing. She seemed not to care however, pushing closer, flicking her wrists and performing a heavenly or more accurately a monster of a palm slap. Even though it hit his arms in defense he could feel the shock wave rush through his whole body. For just a second his heart stopped. That's when he realized if she desired it he would be dead, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a duel and she left her guard open. From William's legs tensed each muscle, speedily slithering up to his arm, each muscle knew its purpose, each tiny movement oozed strength, all accumulating into a dangerous punch, that could almost match the power of a commander tier. For just a moment Cassandra's eyes tensed, her body looked for escape, but with the distance she had to be able to perform her finishing attack made it impossible. Thud. She managed to put her arms up, but that didn't matter, it was like trying to stop a car on the highway. Crack. This time William knew where the sound came from. The sound of her ribs and arms breaking makes him sick. With that his arm fell limp by his side.
