Mages:

The ranking system for mages is based on their understanding of an aspect of an element. This understanding weighs on their soul, but the burden of casting also weighs in their bodies.

Warriors:

The ranking system for warriors is based on their proficiency in performing moves to fight. This means technique, but most important is the force behind the moves. Thus, the force necessary to do certain moves weighs mostly on the body.

Heroes:

In this story heroes are summoned from another world. They get an ability that will help them in defeating the enemy (more about the specifics in the actual chapters). This ability is not an extra. The better, and thus more complex, the ability, the less a character can expand on it using for example magic learned from normal mages.
