Alex, a passionate fantasy novel enthusiast, meets an untimely end when he's hit by the notorious Truck-kun. Upon dying, he finds himself in a mysterious limbo with a half-transparent body and a roulette in front of him with a letter floating around it.
After roaming around for a few min the lost soul finally had the courage to open the letter and read what was in it.
'Hello there,
If you are reading this, then congratulations—you are going to be transmigrated to the last thing you read or played in your world. If you think this is unfair or want to go back, you have no choice. Your very existence has been removed from your original world, meaning no one remembers you, and in a way, it's as if you were never born in that world.
You were given this chance because my sister and I were playing a game of fate in which two dice were thrown. Whatever shows up on these dice happens to some random soul, and we watch them fight against their fate, which, most of the time, doesn't happen—99.999% of the time, the dice win.
But you, my friend, were chosen by both of our dice. One showed Eternal Death and the other showed Long Life, creating a big contradiction. Since the rules can't be broken, we need to remove your existence from that world in the form of Eternal Death and give you a chance to live in another world to satisfy the Long Life condition. If we let you live in your original world, you would have become a Singularity, which might have caused a hole in the world's laws and ended it.
Well, anyway, that's why you were chosen. Now, let's talk about the important stuff—the roulette in front of you, which will decide the power you will get in your next life, meaning the cheat ability that will help you survive.
You just need to press the start button and then press the stop button when you feel ready, and boom, you have a cheat ability. But I can't guarantee that the ability will be good or bad.
As a last gift from us, we both will give you our blessings.
Well then, good luck in your next life, kiddo.'
"The F*ck," Alex said after reading the letter looking a little confused.
"You mean I died because of some bad luck due to two transcendent beings or gods playing a game for fun and I just happened to have been chosen by that damn Dice of Whatever leading to me getting hit by truck-kun," Alex said all that in one breadth not knowing that someone was listening to him.
After cursing a little Alex thought about what to do next.
"Well I got no choice then anyway I was only living by in my world without doing anything significant in life other than playing games and reading novels. It might have been a better thing than I expected"Alex said to calm his own heart and to move forward.
"Hmm, what was I reading last time I think it was some magic world novel some mage with named versatile mage" After reorganizing his memory he went to the roulette to get his cheat.
"Alright then, let's see what fate has in store for me," Alex mutters to himself, hesitating briefly before pressing the start button on the roulette.
The roulette begins to spin with a soft hum, each section marked with symbols and powers that blur together in a whirl of possibilities. As it slows down, Alex watches intently, his heart beating faster with anticipation. Memories of the "Versatile Mage" novel he last immersed himself in flash through his mind—its intricate magic system, powerful spells, and daunting challenges.
"Now, when to stop..." Alex murmurs, his gaze darting between the spinning roulette and the letter's warning about the unpredictable nature of his forthcoming ability. With a mixture of hope and trepidation, he presses the stop button at what feels like the right moment.
Without any delay or slowing down it came to a halt the instant Alex pressed the stop button on the "Chaos System"
"Now what type of system is this"
As Alex was contemplating the use of this system a black light suddenly went into his transparent soul from the roulette and the limbo around him began to dissolve while a white door presented itself in front of him.
Alex darted his way inside the door and as he was going in he heard two beautiful voices saying "Well boy for cursing at us we will take some of your memories of past life. Bye"
"Wait what?" Alex said as a body reflex but it was too late as the door behind him close itself and consciousness of Alex was slowly faded away.

Well, I read my old story and thought I gave him a little too many or much power for that world so I am writing anew.
Let's see how long I will write this one😅
If you like it then make sure to add it in the library.
