"You mean, our title as the strongest Gaurdian," the Kion turned to him, with a glare.
"Oh," he replied, clearing his throat. "Yes, of course darling. We are here to reclaim our title as the strongest Gaurdian!" He repeated.
Lemon exhaled, standing up from the dark hammock we sat, her blaster pointed at them and a non-chalant yawn.
"Honestly," she said to them. "Can't you guys give us at least a one hour break?"
The intruders looked at each other, the Kion straightened her legs and levitated down to the ground, an act that revealed that she was a feet shorter than the Vykary. She walked closer to the blaster in front of them, closer and closer until the barrel of the blaster laid on her chest.
"What do you mean…us?" She asked, with a curious tone and her face quite serious.
"Lady, get your breasts off my gun," Lemon replied. "Or I'm gonna blow your ribs out."
The Vykary was appalled. He attempted to step in but the Kion raised her hand, signaling that she did not need any of his help. She then smirked, this time at Lemon, pushing herself even closer to the gun until it reached the climax of the soft part of her chest.
"I like your hair," she said, looking at Lemon in the eyes.
"Hmm," Lemon shrugged, her stance still firm and her grip on the gun, unwavered. "Yours not bad either."
They stared at each other for a while, long enough to have me and the Vykary wondering if they were having a really long staring battle or if they were flirting with each other. I exhaled, rubbing her nose bridge.
"Alright," i said, dropping my finger gun. "That's enough of that sexual tension…let's skip to the part where we fight, I defeat you and you take me to Eldenstar."
The Kion gasped when she heard that name.
"We do not say that name," the Vykary growled at me. "Never!"
That was a surprise. I could see the fright rising in the eyes of the Kion when she heard the name. She swiftly pulled away from Lemon and her blaster, her focus now on me.
"The moon have eyes kid," she said. "Don't ever say that name, for fear he may be listening and appear to deliver your despair and doom."
I looked at her with an eyebrow up. The way she described it, it made it seem to me that this Eldenstar of a Man, or an alien, or whatever his, was some kind of boogeyman that everyone was scared of. Plus, what is it with that saying, 'the moon have eyes', there are no freaking eyes on the moon!
"Alright, who the hell are you guys?" I asked. "And why are you here?"
"Hmmhmm," Lemon agreed. "And what the hell does the moon have eyes mean?"
They looked at me surprised.
"Isn't it obvious?" The Kion asked.
"We're Guardians like you, you dumbass!" Her companion added.
"Indeed," She continued. "My name is Silvia, the third Gaurdian, and this is my husband…U—"
She got interrupted by Fegor, who had exclaimed in excitement when she saw them.
"Lord Urian and Lady Silvia!" Fegor's excited voice preceded her jubilant feet as they swiftly took her to them in an instant.
"Lord?" I asked, sharing a stare with Lemon. She raised an eyebrow, shrugging.
They turned to look at the girl that smiled excitedly right in front of them. Behind her strolled her sister, calmly with a smile on her face, their identical faces seemed to have sent a spark of nostalgia through their brains. Silvia smiled, floating over to Fegor and holding her face dearly.
"Look how beautiful you've grown," she said, caressing her hair.
Urian nodded, placing his hand on Foma's head as soon as she hugged him.
"And tall too," he said.
Fegor chuckled. "We've always been this tall, my lord."
"He needs to get his eyes checked," Foma laughed.
He looked at us, raising an eyebrow.
"They're saying you're getting old," Silvia clarified.
"I got that," he replied immediately, which made them laugh even more.
It felt like we were watching a family reunion special from a TV series called Family Grins. Our patience was growing thin. How did the twins know the third and fourth Guardians? Were they the reason they came?
"I'm…sorry to interrupt this beautiful reunion," Lemon interrupted. "But what the hell is going on here?"
They noticed we were already off the hammock, standing and staring with wrinkles on our foreheads. Urian cleared his throat, letting go of Foma.
"The arena whispered to us," he said.
"Yes," Silvia continued. "It announced the arrival of the strongest Guardian a few hours ago."
"What?" The twins, I and my partner asked with different expressions of shock on our faces.
"We tracked the location of the spot he arrived at in the arena and used the energy residual to track his location outside the arena, and found him here!" Urian explained.
That explanation made it even more baffling because I haven't been in the arena recently and the only people in the hotel who had been to the arena and back were the knights and Lemon, and there was no way any of the knights were Guardians. There was only one other explanation then.
"You guys made a mistake," I said. I held Lemon's hand and walked away. But we didn't go far, Silvia stopped me by teleporting to my front. I tried to take a left, but she stopped me by appearing there too. I did the same for the right, but she repeated her procedure. I tried to manoeuvre my way out of the situation, but could not, at one point, she created clones of herself and locked Lemon and I in the circle she created with the clones. The scene was starting to cause a commotion among the others in the lobby.
"What the hell is this?" I asked, frustrated.
"You are the second Guardian, are you not?" Urian asked.
I nodded.
"Then you are the one the Arena spoke about," Silvia said. "The strongest Guardian, and by the book of Artatara, you must accept our request to fight, at least once."
"What do you mean fight?" I asked, watching as the clones of Silvia disappeared.
"A fight… to the death," Urian replied.
