Chapter 28 - AURENDOR'S DECISION (PART 2)

Aurendor stared at Herald as he spoke, revealing Mitsuki's form.

"Mitsuki is a Vermiculus Praenuntia: The Crimson Harbinger.. It is a being that has never been seen before, but it already existed in the Scroll of Truth. It is said that this certain being carries vast amount of the Void's essence." Herald said.

"The void essence, huh.."

The Void Essence: An ethereal realm that Higher Celestial beings borrow their power from, in the form of a dark silver core inside their souls, which tap into the Void essence, absorbing an energy that came to be called Depuratus mana, a form of energy so pure that it can't even be compared to Celestial energy that gods possess. The void essence remains a mystery to all who know of it, since it cannot be accessed by any. It existed before space and time, before mighty beings delicately made everything known as creation. It is said to have a consciousness, yet it has never accepted any being, even the creators themselves. It only graces them with the dark silver core, when it deems it fit to do so. When the higher beings came to know of the Vermiculus Praenuntia, they tried and tried to create beings that could try to attain that level, leading to creation of the several Celestial forms that are now known.

"Then this is something serious. You know there are many of us who would want that form, especially the higher beings." Aurendor said, now realizing that this was no longer simple talk.

"As you have said, most of you lower celestials just think of this as a mere myth, and only you and Venus have recently been graced by a silver core with little void essence. The issue now is the larger Celestial beings. They are several, let me tell you that. This is information I should not even be telling you, so do not tell anyone. There are several other beings aside from our master and master's enemy. There are some that do not find delight in creating life and universes, they just find delight in watching everything happen, and there are others that have creations, but of very different levels. Those are the ones that are the ones we need to look out for. That's why I have a suggestion." Herald said as the realm turned from day time into night time.

"Allow us to give Mitsuki our marking," he said.

The whole realm became pitch dark, to a point that nothing could be seen. Aurendor knelt on his right knee and bowed down.

"I can't see a thing.. He also said 'us', which means, the other two are with him at this very moment." Aurendor thought.

"There seems to be some sort of ulterior purpose to do so, Herald." Aurendor said.

"Mitsuki is a Vermiculus.. It might be best to back him up right now, since he will become a feared being in the future as he progresses. It is better if we form a close relationship with him, and as I said, he did pique my interest indeed." Herald said, his words carrying a lot of power.

"Besides, if the news reaches the higher ones, there will be some who will try to form an alliance with him, it is only right to side with him." A female voice said.

"I am most pleased that the three of you see great promises in my chosen one, but... He at times, looks...."

"Looks like he knows something that we don't, right? His sister too.. Their eyes have this certain eerie glow at times...Let me ask you this, Aurendor. Did you know that he can use encode?" Herald asked. That news hit Aurendor, as he connected the puzzles.

"That is how he revived Emilia?? He encoded her soul??!!!"

"Judging from your silence, it seems you never knew, so we can assume that you did not teach him to do so, which means that, that entity that took control of his body back then, is a higher celestial being. He might even know something very crucial, yet he is hiding it instead of telling you. Plus, the being might be able to take control again. If our fears are true, then it is best if we are on his good side, since we can not actually read his intentions."

"I understand, Lord Herald. But I shall ask this of you-"

"I know what you are going to ask.. We do not plan on doing so, I only want to have a talk with him soon, but we shall not take him for now. It shall be his own choice whether to agree or not, after all, we wouldn't want to sour our relationship with him. You also have a word here, so take your time and think of it very well." Herald said as the whole realm started cracking like glass. As it shattered, Aurendor found himself back in Avalon.

Aqua's Mansion

"There, all done." Miyuki said as she finished tidying up Mitsuki's now longer hair.

"Are you sure this will be alright? I feel weird with this long hair." Mitsuki said.

"It's not even that long, brother. It's just at shoulder level. Don't worry about it." Miyuki replied.

Suddenly, Mitsuki felt a sharp pain go up his spine. He fell down, writhing in pain as pain coursed throughout his body, biting its fangs deeply into his body.

"Brother! Are you alright?! Brother!!" Miyuki shouted as she tried to heal him, without even knowing what was causing the pain.

{------}

{Ω}

The sign appeared in Mitsuki's mind in static.

"What... The hell...."

As Miyuki tried examining him, she suddenly stopped as she looked at his eyes.

"His eyes... They are glowing blue??"

Mitsuki's eyes were indeed, casting a blue glow.

"Brother! Hang in there!" She shouted as a dark aura covered the two of them.

[Soul seeker attribute is active. You can now see souls.]

Now, as she stared at Mitsuki's soul, she could see that there was something odd happening.

"What the hell is this silver aura in his soul.. It looks like it is solidifying...."

As she watched, a small silver core materialized at the center of his soul. The silver aura that was surging wildly throughout his body calmed down and stared revolving around the tiny silver core.

Mitsuki's eyes turned back to normal as the pain died down. He gasped for air as he sat upright.

"Are you okay?" Miyuki asked him, her face full of worry.

"Barely... What the hell was that.." Mitsuki said,

"I saw your soul... There was this silver aura...."

"Silver aura?"

"I don't know whether it was aura or some kind of matter, but is looks like it was what was causing the pain you felt. It is now revolving around a tiny silver core.."

"Maybe it is something about my new form.." Mitsuki said, reminding himself that he was no longer a human. He sat in a lotus position and focused, trying to feel the energy in him. After a while, he sighed as he slumped on the bed.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't have the system as you have.. Which means my sensory abilities are now very low.. I now need to learn everything again...." Mitsuki said.

"Does what you are now have a name?" Miyuki asked.

"Nope, Kanaz- Someone told me that they do not know about my form.... I will have to wait to be summoned by Aurendor, maybe he knows." Mitsuki said, remembering that he was supposed to keep quiet about Kanazuma, per his request.

"By the way, aren't they taking so long?" Mitsuki asked.

"Who?"

"Valeria and Poki.. Did they decide to go enjoy themselves or what?"

"Oh? You already miss your two ladies?" Miyuki teased.

"I am just concerned about them.." Mitsuki replied.

"Lies lies... Is this why you refuse to shower? Are you perhaps waiting for them, so that you three can take a bath together? How lewd brothe-"

Mitsuki pinched Miyuki as he dragged her out of his room.

"Ouch! You are hurting me!"

"What? I can't hear you??" He replied as he opened his door.

"You... meanie!!" She shouted as Mitsuki effortlessly lifted her like a child, placing her outside the door. He closed the door and closed his ears, knowing that Miyuki would shout.

"Fool!" She shouted as she banged the door violently, threatening to knock it down.

Fay and the other maids were looking at her from a distance.

"That door won't hold fort for long." Fay remarked as they all giggled.

"The hell are you all laughing at..." They heard. They turned, only to see Miyuki there, ready to vent out her anger through them.

"Um.. Sorry..?"

After that, they all started running, Miyuki chasing them from behind.

AVALON

Aurendor fixed his gaze on the ones in front of him, sending a chill down their spines. They all stopped discussing and maintained silence, to allow Aurendor to have a peaceful thinking time. Even though he was staring at them, his mind was not there, it was back in Herald's realm, remembering all that they had talked of. He let out a sigh as he spoke up, having made his decision.

"Summon all members of Celestior, together with all the summoned and Mitsuki, now."
