Chapter 1 - ISOLATED

In the vibrant tapestry of Tokyo, as the sun painted the streets with hues of gold, Mitsuki and Emilia embarked on their morning pilgrimage. Amidst the symphony of city life, laughter and chatter filled the air as students made their way to school. Close confidants, Mitsuki and Emilia shared animated conversations, their bond as unbreakable as the ancient sakura trees.

"As usual, here." Emilia said, handing Mitsuki her bag. Mitsuki sighed as he took it, unable to say no.

"I swear, I'm not your carrier or something.." He said.

"Yet, you still carry it for me," Emilia said teasingly as they continued walking to school, talking to each other excitedly, being the close friends they are.

As they approached the hallowed gates of their learning sanctum, Mitsuki, ever the gallant knight, returned Emilia's satchel to her with a chivalrous flourish. With a parting smile, they bid each other farewell, Mitsuki's path leading him towards the halls of the school gymnasium.

AXEON SPACE STATION

A sharp contrast to the happy bustling city, inside Axeon Space Station, a tempest of trepidation roiled beneath the placid exterior. The ordinarily serene corridors echoed with the cacophony of harried voices, each one a harbinger of dread. Fear etched its icy tendrils across the staff's visages as they flitted between chambers, dispatching tidings of impending doom.An atmosphere of palpable dread permeated the station's corridors, its once-bustling staff now consumed by a whirlwind of frantic activity. Their faces etched with worry and fear, they darted from chamber to chamber, their hurried footsteps echoing the weight of ominous tidings they bore.

"Sir!!The readings are increasing!!!!" Shouted a staff member.

A man in his middle thirties looked up from his computer and banged the table furiously.

"Now we can't wait.. Contact the President and the Global Space Agency!!!" He shouted.

The staff member hesitated a bit, afraid that the man in front of her would suddenly hurl an object to her face, nevertheless, she spoke out.

"I already tried sir, but the secretary refuses to...." said the staff as she held out a phone.

The man snatched it out of her hand and put it on loudspeaker.

"Give the president the damn phone!!!" He shouted

"You know very well that I cannot do that Joe , gather more information first! The president has more urgent matters-"

"Info? Info my ass!!! This is a global crisis that the Global Space Agency has acknowledged as extremely dangerous, and you want me to GATHER information?? Screw you! I shall proceed as I want then, with or without permission!"

"Joe, wai-"

Joe banged the phone over the table angrily as he stood up, going towards the control room.

"Give me the status!!" He said.

"The unknown energy levels are spiking up rapidly!! It is all around the world, but now seventy percent has focused on the Asian continent!!"

Joe gulped as he looked at the large display in front of him. All the data he was seeing was signifying one thing, the center of it all was Japan.

"Just what might this energy be? Might it be anti matter?" Joe murmured to himself.

A man suddenly walked into the control room. Everyone, including Joe, saluted him.

"It isn't what you are thinking, Joe. It has similar properties with anti matter, but it is not. If it was, the space station would have been erased from existence."

"Commander Tim! Have you contacted the president?" Joe asked.

The commander simply shook his head as he looked at Joe. He started walking towards one of the frosted glass panels and he took a deep breath.

"You might want to take a look outside, Joe"

Joe, walked towards the frosted glass and he put his index on it, letting the machine to scan his fingerprint. As the light from outside lit the room, Joe's heart was beating faster and faster as he stared at the sky.

The sky had erupted into a celestial symphony of azure, a surreal scene was unfolding above. Golden droplets were suspeded in the now ethereal air, suspended in time like shimmering tears of the heavens. The people of Japan were all outside, staring in awe and trepidation, their devices aimed skyward to capture this cosmic spectacle. As they all onbserved, a mystical pentagonal crest emerged, its cobalt hue casting an otherworldly glow. The clouds swirled about it, a swirling vortex of celestial energy.

This was creating a panic, something that made the news to travel all round the world as television studios brought up highlights and the social media became flooded with articles and videos.

HATO JUNIOR HIGH

Mitsuki wiped off the sweat on his face as he stretched.

"Phew, I have managed to finish in time," he said to himself when he suddenly fekt his hair being grabbed and he was pulled down.

"Oh, what's this? You, working out?" Asked the student that had pulled him.

"M..Mark.." Mitsuki muttered under his teeth. The next thing he knew, he was down on the cold floor , being kicked at the ribs.

"It sounds like you are angry, you piece of crap" Mark said as he kicked him hard on the gut.

"Hey dude, let the guy go! Look at this!" One of his lackeys shouted as he pointed towards the sky.

"woah! What is that?"

Without even looking at what was being pointed, Mitsuki used the chance to run away as fast as he could towards his class. It was still early everyone was supposed to be in the School hall, so there was nobody in the classes, or so he thought. He headed straight towards his desk , limping and wincing slightly due to the pain. He took his bag to go to the changing rooms, but then he saw someone at the furthest corner of the class, the one girl he never wanted to interact with.

"I see you are still being bullied as usual, you lowly crap," she said, looking at him with a disgusted look on her face.

"No need to rub it in Liz, just leave me alone," he said as he walked out of class. Suddenly, he heard the snap of a camera and he turned around and looked at Liz, who was snapping photos as the giggled.

"I need to post these and even send them to Emilia and Miyuki, your poor sister, or even, the school magazine!" she said as the laughed. "I mean, look at how miserable you look!!"

After a long silent stare, Mitsuki turned to leave.

"Do what you want, I particularly don't care," he said as he went to the changing room.

Outside, as everyone was staring at the ethereal ordeal that was unfolding, the golden droplets suddenly started to move as they encircled a particular place until a golden barrier was formed. Clouds encircled the barrier above, swirling vigorously , turning slightly dark. Its center glowed a blueish hue as blue lightning surged.

Emergency alarms blared as people were rushed into buildings. Police cars rushed towards the barrier, loaded with experts, including Joe and Tim. When they arrived, they alighted fast and ran towards the barrier, holding complex measuring and analyzing instruments.

"Officer, which buildings are in the barrier?" Tim asked.

"Its only one sir, but It is a school; Hato Junior" one officer replied.

Tim felt his heart stop.

"A school??! My god.. What the hell is going on??!!"

Everyone was now seated in class, listening to the teacher when suddenly, the principal walked into the class. He seemed nervous as he whispered something to the teacher. The teacher, without even waiting , followed the principal outside the class. As usual, the class started making noise.

"Man, we are alone in school, all the rest went for trips."

"The teacher said that we will go next week."

The principal walked into the class again , making everyone to remain quiet. He was sweating as he looked around nervously.

"Students, we have an issue. All of you are to head into the hall immediately!" He said.

Students started murmuring all around the class. A girl raised her hand up.

"I know the question you want to ask, Virginia. Well, believe it or not, the school has been isolated in some sort of barrier. Now, everyone, head to the hall!" The principal commanded.

"Isolated?!"
