Chapter 93 - Shikai

"A mere Jōnin shouldn't push his luck so far!" He roared.

With an explosive movement, his right foot crashed against the ground, the force of the impact causing the earth to sink and crack under his power.

In an instant, Chen moved like a snake, his figure barely visible as he closed the distance with the Jōnin. Ryūjin Jakka gleamed with bloodlust, cutting through the air.

The Jōnin, veteran of countless battles, sensed the imminent danger. His instincts screamed, warning him of the mortal peril approaching.

But his body simply couldn't react in time. In the blink of an eye, Chen's blade went through him, splitting his body into two perfect halves.

Faced with such superhuman speed, even years of experience and skill became useless.

The legend of this Jōnin, a life of feats and victories, came to a brutal and unexpected end at the hands of a demon child.

"..."

"...Oh! I haven't even used my full strength! It's really tedious that you die so quickly." Chen sighed with boredom and disappointment in his voice.

The battlefield fell silent.

In a 50-meter radius around Chen, not a single ninja remained standing. The survivors watched in horror, paralyzed by disbelief.

How to defeat someone who cut down Jōnin as if mowing grass?

It was an impossible task, especially for the Genin and Chūnin present. The reality of the situation was too overwhelming to process.

A surreal scene unfolded on the battlefield: Chen, motionless in the center, surrounded by a circle of terrified ninjas who had stopped fighting, backing away.

Not even the Konoha ninjas dared to approach. The decapitated bodies of their comrades were still warm.

Nobody wanted to be the next to fall to the sword of this ruthless "comrade."

Chen's voice resonated across the battlefield. "Oh! Life is so lonely! Who dares to face me? No one else?"

His provocation didn't go unanswered for long.

Among the enemy ranks, four figures stood out.

"This brat is too arrogant! I'll kill him myself!" growled one of them, his voice laden with anger and contempt.

Another, with a more calculating look, observed: "He's just a teenager and can already kill Jōnin with ease. If we allow him to grow, he could become someone as fearsome as Konoha's White Fang."

"Let's attack together," suggested a third. "No matter how prodigious he is, he won't be able to handle all of us at once."

The four, all of near-Kage level, exchanged looks of understanding and began to coordinate their attack. Without wasting another second, they launched themselves at Chen, their movements synchronized.

The Amegakure ninja was the first to form seals: "Water Element: Great Waterfall Flow!"

Immediately after, the Iwagakure shinobi added his own jutsu: "Lightning Element!" The electric chakra fused with the water, creating a lethal combination.

"Wind Element: Wind Sword!" shouted the Sunagakure ninja.

Finally, the second Iwagakure ninja completed the offensive: "Earth Element: Mud Dragon Bomb!" Projectiles of earth and mud joined the torrent of elements rushing towards Chen.

The combination of attacks was formidable, capable of putting even an experienced Kage in a tight spot. However, to everyone's surprise, Chen reacted calmly.

In an instant, his figure rose into the sky, dodging all the attacks. The four attackers were left gaping, their eyes following Chen's trajectory in disbelief.

From his elevated position, he looked down on them with disdain, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "You, who can't even fly, what right do you have to challenge me?"

Chen's words ignited the anger of the ninjas on the ground. His superior tone and evident sense of superiority enraged them beyond reason.

"If you have guts, come down and face us!" shouted the Almost-Kage from Sunagakure, his voice trembling with rage. "Stop boasting and fight like a true shinobi!"

Chen snorted with disdain. "Hmph! If you manage to bring me down, I'll descend. Useless!"

The four Quasi-Kage roared in unison. "Coward! Come down and face us!"

But Chen remained out of their reach, observing them from the heights with a cold and calculating gaze.

"You're like barking dogs," he mocked. "Really annoying. Consider it an honor to die under the burning fire."

Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. Chen softly uttered the words that would mark a before and after in the battle:

"Turn all to ashes! Ryūjin Jakka!"

In that instant, flames of unimaginable heat enveloped both the blade of Ryūjin Jakka and Chen himself.

The Shikai had finally been released, transforming Chen into a figure resembling the sun itself.

The entire battlefield was paralyzed, combatants momentarily forgetting their clashes to contemplate the burning spectacle in the sky.

The vegetation on the ground began to wither and yellow under the intense heat. Ryūjin Jakka shone in Chen's hands like a second sun, its power barely contained.

"Chen, that sword!" Tsunade's voice resonated.

Orochimaru, for his part, observed in silence, his eyes narrowed with interest. "Is that really a ninja sword?" he muttered.

Looking down at the four Quasi-Kage, Chen spoke with his voice laden with cold determination. "You four will be the sacrifice. Taimatsu!"

With a simple movement of his burning sword, he unleashed hell.

A wall of flames in the form of a tornado instantly enveloped the four Quasi-Kage. They had no chance to fight or even scream before the fire consumed them, reducing them to ashes in a matter of seconds.

Silence.

A sepulchral silence took over the field.

Where once reigned the chaos of war, with the clash of swords and explosions of ninjutsu, now only remained a deafening void.

The Quasi-Kage, figures of great power, had vanished in an instant, leaving no trace.

Disbelief spread like a wave among friends and enemies alike. Even the Konoha ninjas, supposed allies of Chen, found themselves paralyzed by shock.

Floating high above, Chen felt the euphoria of victory course through his body. However, he suppressed the urge to celebrate, aware of the devastating power of the Taimatsu technique.

This ability, capable of razing an entire city, could have annihilated everyone on the battlefield if it had been fully unleashed.

His gaze fell on Tsunade, who remained on the ground, her face beaded with sweat. Concern for her safety was what finally led Chen to release Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai, containing its destructive power.

This experience had opened new horizons for him. Now he understood not only how to release the Shikai, but also the path towards Bankai. The revelation that he himself was the materialization of Zanpakutō gave him a new perspective on his connection with Ryūjin Jakka. His task now was to fully integrate the sword as part of himself.

His previous inability to use the Shikai was due to his lack of attunement with Ryūjin Jakka.

Real battles had deepened this bond, finally allowing him to access this power. In a future where he could completely merge with the sword, integrating it into his body and manifesting its abilities without the need for the physical weapon.

As he sealed Ryūjin Jakka again, the temperature around him began to descend.

Chen observed with a bittersweet smile the havoc caused by his Shikai, remembering old Yamamoto's words about the inconvenience of such overwhelming power.

This led him to make a decision: he would use Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai with extreme caution in the future. He did not wish to become a mere agent of destruction, and more importantly, he wanted to protect those around him from the collateral effects of his power.
