Chapter 54 - Evolution

Chen, with a quick movement, pulled out a crystal bottle filled with an emerald green liquid that pulsed with light.

"Mikoto," Chen said softly, extending the bottle towards her. "This is for you."

Mikoto's eyes widened in amazement as she took the bottle with trembling hands.

Tsunade, intrigued, leaned in to examine the bottle more closely.

Her eyes widened in amazement as she felt the powerful vitality emanating from the liquid, even through the glass.

"Chen," Tsunade said, entering her scientific mode, "can I study this potion? I've never felt anything like this before."

Chen shook his head firmly. "I'm sorry, Tsunade, but this potion is exclusively for Mikoto to evolve her eyes. You can't study it."

Things given by the system cannot be investigated, anyway nothing can be investigated. This liquid was obtained in the roulette and in the store he simply cannot buy it.

At first, he thought it was the same as the one in the store, but he looked at the object description and discovered that this potion could not only evolve the Sharingan, but also obtain a Body with Hashirama's cells, that is, a Sage Body.

This makes this liquid even more valuable. If there is an equal object in the store, it will surely cost more than 700,000 coins.

Therefore, it is impossible for Chen to give it to Tsunade to study.

Tsunade frowned, clearly disappointed. "But why not? With my skills, I could..."

"No," Chen interrupted. "There are things that simply cannot be thoroughly investigated. This is one of them."

Tsunade pouted, crossing her arms under her voluminous chest. "You're very mean, Chen. I'm always good to you and you've never given me anything interesting to study."

Mikoto, moved by Tsunade's disappointment, intervened. "Chen, maybe you could give the potion to Tsunade-san. I can wait..."

"No," Chen said firmly. "This potion is too valuable and unique. It cannot be replicated."

Tsunade raised an eyebrow, a confident smile appearing on her face. "Oh, really? If you give it to me, I assure you I can create ten identical bottles. No one is better than me in the field of medicine. If you have this potion, someone else must have created it, right?"

Chen couldn't help but laugh softly at Tsunade's confidence. This only served to irritate her more, who lunged forward and pinched Chen's arm hard.

"You're becoming less and less cute, Chen!" she exclaimed, vigorously kneading his arm.

Chen gently pushed her hand away. "Listen, Tsunade. This potion is extremely important for Mikoto. I can't reveal its origin, and I assure you it's impossible to copy. It's not a matter of skill, but of the very nature of the potion."

Tsunade calmed down a bit, but still looked hurt. "I don't want to blame you, Chen, but it hurts that you don't trust my abilities. It makes me feel... useless."

Chen sighed, knowing he had to reveal something more for Tsunade to understand. "Tsunade, this potion not only evolves the Sharingan. It can also give a person the chance to awaken the Mokuton Kekkei Genkai. Do you think you could replicate something like that?"

Silence fell over the group.

Tsunade's eyes widened. The Mokuton, her grandfather's legendary Kekkei Genkai, the First Hokage... A potion capable of awakening such power?

"I... I can't believe it," Tsunade finally whispered. "If what you say is true, then... you're right. I couldn't replicate something like that."

Mikoto looked at the bottle in her hands with a new appreciation. "Chen, can this potion really do all that?"

Chen nodded. "Yes, Mikoto. That's why it's so important that you use it."

"With this, you could even slap Madara and become the strongest ninja in the entire history of the Uchiha clan."

Without hesitation, Mikoto uncapped the vial and drank its contents in one gulp. For a moment, nothing seemed to happen.

Then, suddenly, a surge of energy coursed through her body.

Mikoto gasped, her eyes widening as she felt every cell in her body vibrate with unprecedented vitality.

Her chakra, normally a constant river, became an uncontrollable torrent. And her eyes... oh, her eyes burned with a power she had never experienced before.

The pattern in her irises began to change, the Sakura flowers that before seemed closed buds now bloomed in all their glory.

The air around Mikoto seemed to distort, rippling with the pure energy emanating from her.

Tsunade and Kushina involuntarily stepped back, their faces filled with amazement. The pressure emanating from Mikoto's eyes was almost tangible.

"Incredible," Tsunade murmured, her voice barely audible. "The Mangekyō Sharingan... it can really evolve."

Chen, observing the scene with a satisfied smile, murmured: "If an eternal Mangekyō didn't exist, Tsunade's grandfather would have defeated Madara without problems."

Tsunade, catching his words, turned to him with wide eyes. "Are you saying that even with those eyes Madara is no match for my grandfather?"

But before Chen could respond, Mikoto's transformation reached its climax.

A shockwave of pure chakra emanated from her, shaking the ground and rustling the leaves of nearby trees.

When the light dissipated, Mikoto stood there, with her new eyes.

"Mikoto," Chen called softly. "How do you feel?"

Mikoto blinked, as if waking from a dream. "I feel... invincible," she replied, her voice filled with awe. "My ocular power seems infinite, and my chakra... it has multiplied tenfold, no, more."

Her eyes settled on Tsunade, and an almost predatory smile crossed her lips. "Tsunade-san... I don't think you're a match for me anymore."

Chen nodded, confirming her words. "Indeed, Tsunade can't beat you."

Tsunade, for once, was left speechless. She let out a sad sigh, unable to refute.

If before, when Mikoto only had the Mangekyō Sharingan, she would still have had confidence in her abilities, now... now she really didn't.

And finally, the most anticipated moment arrived, Chen with anticipation in his voice, asked:

"Mikoto, tell us about your new abilities."

Mikoto nodded. "My left eye...", she began, and instantly, the air around her filled with delicate cherry blossom petals. The gentle breeze made them dance, creating a spectacle of ethereal beauty.

Kushina and Tsunade, captivated by the vision, instinctively took a step forward.

Chen, however, remained motionless, being aware of these petals.

With a subtle movement of her hand, Mikoto made the petals spin faster, forming a pink whirlwind that rose into the sky.

Suddenly, the petals launched towards the trees surrounding the field.

The sound of wood being cut filled the air.

In a matter of seconds, the sturdy trunks were reduced to splinters, then to sawdust, which fell gently to the ground like a fine rain.

"The Sakura Sword," Mikoto explained. "I can control these sword-petals at will, to surround, cut or strangle my opponents."

Chen, with wide eyes, murmured: "Senbonzakura... Kageyoshi."

Kushina, still marveled by the demonstration, exclaimed: "It's beautiful! I wish I had been born in the Uchiha clan!"

Chen, regaining his composure, offered a more critical evaluation: "It's visually impressive, but the attack is too dispersed. The attack power could be insufficient against strong opponents."

Mikoto smiled enigmatically. "Ah, but that's not all. My right eye has a... particular ability." She paused, as if searching for the right words.

"Anything I disagree with... turns into an illusion."

The silence that followed was deafening.

Chen, Tsunade, and Kushina stood motionless, processing the magnitude of what they had just heard.

Tsunade was the first to break the silence. "That... that's impossible. That's not a human ability, it's... it's the power of a god..."

Chen, for the first time in a long time, found himself speechless. "Mikoto, that's... even I envy it."

As he observed the astonished reactions of the others, Chen couldn't help but reflect on how this ability originated.

The scene of Mikoto obtaining the Mangekyo Sharingan came back to his mind: the pain, the denial, the desperate desire for his death to be an illusion.

'The Sharingan truly is the eye that represents the soul,' Chen thought. 'And at that moment, Mikoto's soul refused to accept a reality in which I had died. That denial... became her power.'
