Finally, satisfied with his display of flattery, Chen focused his attention on the roulette. He watched it with expert eyes, recalling the many times he had played before. "This time," he thought, "I'll get the perfect prize."
The roulette displayed seven prizes. Chen studied them intently, his brow gradually furrowing as he scanned the variety:
- Minecraft Iron Shovel (Iron Shovel): A sturdy shovel that allows for rapid digging and excavation of blocks in the world.
- M1911 (Classic Pistol): A semi-automatic pistol used during World War I and World War II, renowned for its durability and accuracy.
- T-Virus (Vial with blue liquid): A virus that transforms living beings into zombies with superhuman abilities, originating from the Resident Evil universe.
- Hadō #90. Kurohitsugi (Black Chest with symbols): A powerful Kidō technique that traps the target in a box of darkness, crushing them with energy swords.
- Yamamoto's Zanpakutō (Katana with violet handle): The sword of Ryūjin Jakka, capable of manipulating fire to extreme levels, from Captain Yamamoto of Bleach.
- Asta's Grimoire (Black book with a five-leaf clover): A spellbook that allows the user to utilize anti-magic to nullify other magical techniques.
- Batmobile (Scale model of the Batmobile): A high-tech armored vehicle used by Batman, equipped with various gadgets and weaponry.
"A Minecraft iron shovel?" Chen muttered incredulously. "What am I supposed to do with that? Dig perfectly cubic blocks in the real world?" He pictured himself trying to dig the forest floor with the pixelated tool.
The T-Virus caught his attention for a moment, but Chen quickly dismissed the idea. "The last thing we need is a zombie apocalypse in the middle of a ninja war," he murmured to himself.
His eyes lit up at the sight of Hadō #90. Kurohitsugi. "Now we're talking," he said with a grin. "That would be impressive."
The Grimoire of Asta seemed interesting, though he wondered if the anti-magic would work against chakra.
Finally, his eyes rested on the last prize: Batmobile. Chen snorted in frustration. "Seriously?" he exclaimed. "A toy? What am I supposed to do with that? Scare my enemies with my superhero merchandise collection?"
Despite his initial irritation, Chen couldn't help but feel a spark of excitement at Yamamoto's sword. "Well," he told himself, "I can't complain about a lack of variety. This roulette is certainly... interesting."
With a sigh of resignation, Chen clicked the center of the roulette.
The disk began spinning rapidly, the colors and images of the prizes blending into a hypnotic blur.
Chen held his breath, his eyes fixed on the pointer as the roulette began to slow down. "...Come on, come on," he murmured, his fingers crossed. "Give me something good..."
Finally, with a lazy last spin, the pointer stopped. Chen blinked once, twice, ensuring his eyes weren't deceiving him. A triumphant smile spread across his face as he confirmed the result:
[✅ Congratulations, you have obtained the Hadō #90. Kurohitsugi ✅]
"Yes!" Chen exclaimed. "The second best prize of all!"
At that moment, a soft, calculating voice resonated in his mind. It was Aizen, manifesting briefly to comment on the prize.
"Congratulations," Aizen said with a smile Chen couldn't see. "You have obtained a formidable power. However, remember that true power does not lie in the technique itself, but in how you use it."
Aizen's words echoed in Chen's mind. Without wasting more time, Chen pressed the center button again. The roulette sprang to life once more, spinning rapidly. As it spun, Chen watched in amazement as eight new and fascinating prizes appeared.
His eyes widened at the variety of items. "Incredible," he whispered.
- Marble of Transformation (Shiny marble): A small shiny marble that allows the user to transform into any animal for 24 hours.
- Goggles of Clairvoyance (Goggles): A pair of antique goggles that grant the user the ability to see through solid objects and detect auras.
- Eight Trigrams Mountain Crusher (Scroll with the Hyuga Clan symbol): A technique that unleashes a massive amount of chakra capable of destroying entire mountains.
- Eight Trigrams 361 Style (Scroll with the Hyuga Clan symbol): An advanced technique of the Hyuga Clan that uses the Byakugan to perform precise attacks on 361 chakra points of the opponent, completely nullifying their abilities and killing them instantly.
- Wheel Tomb: Border Jail (Black scroll with golden inscriptions): A high-level technique that summons shadows to attack enemies in another plane, making the attacks almost impossible to detect or evade.
- Gura Gura no Mi (Fruit with swirls): A devil fruit that grants the user the ability to create earthquakes and tsunamis, considered one of the most powerful fruits in the One Piece universe.
- Haoshoku Haki (Black scroll): A rare ability that allows the user to dominate the will of others, causing weak enemies to faint instantly.
- Departure Sword (Long sword with a shiny blade): A magical sword that can cut through dimensions, allowing the user to travel instantly between different places or worlds.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he decided not to waste more time contemplating. "All of these are amazing prizes," he told himself. "No matter what I win, it'll be a victory."
With that in mind, Chen fixed his gaze on the roulette already in motion. The roulette spun and spun.
Finally, the roulette began to slow down. Chen leaned forward, his eyes following the pointer's movement as it passed each prize.
Slower, slower... until it finally stopped.
[✅ Congratulations, you have obtained the Eight Trigrams Mountain Crusher ✅]
Chen blinked, processing the result. For a moment, he was silent, a mix of emotions crossing his face.
"Well," he finally said with resignation, "I guess you can't always win the most desired prize."
Still excited, Chen pressed the center of the roulette again. This time, however, the roulette showed only three options:
- Saitama's Physique (Muscular silhouette): A limitless physique. What more can be said?
- Yamamoto's Zanpakutō (Katana with violet handle): The sword of Ryūjin Jakka, capable of manipulating fire to extreme levels, from Captain Yamamoto of Bleach.
- Mystic Eyes of Death Perception (Glowing eyes): A pair of eyes that allow the user to see and cut the lines of death of any object, granting absolute destructive capability.
His eyes scanned the three available items, and he couldn't help but feel his heart race with excitement.
"Saitama's Physique... Yamamoto's Zanpakutō... Mystic Eyes of Death Perception," he read aloud, his voice filled with awe. "Incredible! Any of these would be amazing."
Chen couldn't contain his enthusiasm. "This is awesome! No matter what I win, it'll be an absolute victory."
However, as he contemplated the prizes, Chen couldn't help but linger on Saitama's Physique.
"A limitless physique... but at what cost?" he wondered aloud. "Will I go bald like Saitama? Or will I have to deal with other... unexpected side effects?"
Chen's smile faded slightly. "And those dulled emotions... is power worth it if I lose the ability to feel true excitement or fear?"
Chen shook his head, his resolve strengthening. "Power is tempting, but not at the cost of my emotions. I don't want to lose that, not even for limitless power."
With a determined sigh, Chen prepared to spin the roulette once more. His heart pounded in his chest.
"Here we go," he murmured, clicking on the lottery page.
The roulette began to spin, the colors and images blending into a hypnotic whirlwind. Chen held his breath, his eyes fixed on the pointer as it gradually slowed.
Finally, with a lazy last spin, the pointer stopped.
[✅ Congratulations, you have obtained Yamamoto's Zanpakutō ✅]
Chen exhaled slowly, a mix of relief and excitement flooding his being. "It's not Saitama's physique," he murmured, a smile spreading across his face. "Thank heavens."
With trembling hands of excitement, he quickly exited the lottery space and pulled the sword from the system's backpack.
Yamamoto's Zanpakutō, Ryūjin Jakka, glowed softly in his hands, its blade reflecting the light hypnotically.
Chen examined the sword in awe, noting its dimensions. "One hundred and forty centimeters in total length, with a thirty-centimeter hilt," he murmured, a chuckle escaping his lips. "It's a bit big, considering I'm only one hundred and thirty centimeters tall."
Despite the size discrepancy, Chen couldn't help but feel thrilled. "Maybe it's a bit early for me to use Ryūjin Jakka in all its glory," he reflected, "but the potential... the potential is immense!"
Chen closed his eyes, feeling the Zanpakutō connect directly with his soul. It was a strange but comforting sensation, as if a part of him he didn't know was missing had finally found its place.
"It's amazing," Chen whispered, opening his eyes. "I can feel it as if it were an extension of my own being."
As he held the sword, Chen couldn't help but wonder. 'Ryūjin Jakka's Shikai... can I use it right away? Or will I have to train to unlock its true potential?'
Chen knew that the true strength of a Zanpakutō lay in its Shikai and Bankai, but even as a normal sword, Ryūjin Jakka was a formidable weapon.
Finally, with a sigh of satisfaction, Chen decided to save his exploration for later. Carefully, he put the Zanpakutō back into the system's backpack.
Exhausted but exhilarated, Chen headed to his bed. He lay down, his eyes fixed on the moonlight streaming through the window.
Despite the excitement in his heart and the adrenaline coursing through his veins, Chen forced himself to close his eyes.
…
The dawn filtered through the curtains, and Chen woke up with a groan, his mood as dark as the coffee he missed.
"Ugh," he muttered, rubbing his eyes irritably. "Why do I always feel like this?"
Dragging himself out of bed, Chen decided today would be a day to take it easy. 'To hell with training,' he thought. 'Today, I'm going to relax.'
With that resolution in mind, Chen headed to the kitchen to prepare a leisurely breakfast.
As he slowly chewed his toast and sipped his tea, he tried to keep the bubbling excitement inside him at bay. After all, today was supposed to be a day of relaxation, right?
However, as the hot tea woke his senses and the memories of his new acquisitions flooded his mind, Chen couldn't help but let a smile spread across his face.
Soon, that smile turned into a giggle, and before he could contain himself, Chen was laughing out loud in the middle of the kitchen.
"I just can't help it!" he exclaimed between laughs, holding his stomach. "I have the power to destroy everything! How am I supposed to stay calm?"
Still grinning, Chen finished his breakfast and got ready for school. Despite his initial intention to take it easy, he couldn't help but feel a renewed energy coursing through his veins.
Upon reaching the school entrance, Chen was surprised to see Nawaki.
Nawaki, seeing Chen, raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Well, well," he said with a teasing smile. "Chen, up early? Is the world ending and no one told me?"
Chen rolled his eyes, but couldn't stop a smile from forming on his lips. "Very funny, Nawaki. Can't I just decide to come early for once?"
Nawaki stepped closer, studying Chen's face curiously. "Hmm," he murmured, leaning in. "There's something different about you today. You look... happy."
Before Chen could respond, Nawaki gave him a hearty pat on the shoulder. "Come on, spill it!" he exclaimed with enthusiasm. "What happened? Something good? Don't be selfish, share the good news!"
