Owen stood restlessly while facing the wall inside Mrs Pedro's hospital room. He just couldn't help but feel worried that Ashlyn wasn't answering his calls even though it was quite obvious that she was avoiding talking with him and he knew why.
He arrived at the hospital about an hour ago and met Mrs Meyer discussing with Mrs Pedro. Greeting both of them "good morning" he gave them space to continue their discussion.
Trying Ashlyn's number for the third time, it rang but she didn't pick up. using his hands, he roughed his hair in frustration.
"Owen," He heard Mrs Pedro call his name and he turned around to face her.
"What is the matter?" Mrs Pedro asked in concern even though she could already guess what was happening.
"I'm just worried about Ashlyn. She's not at home and also not at work. I don't know where she is and I called her, she's not picking." Owen said with a mixture of frustration, worry, and helplessness.
