Owen, gasping for air, he felt the pressure on him seize after he heard Vincent words. He could detect a mixture of warning, threat and mockery from the tone of Vincent voice.
Meanwhile, Ashlyn and Kait were done setting up the dining table. "You should go and call them. Owen must be starving. He's refused to eat since morning." Kait said and Ashlyn sighed. She didn't even need to ask Kait if she was serious or joking because she knew Owen too well.
Leaving the dining room, she went to the living room and there she met the tense atmosphere. Her eyes met the scene of Owen pained expression and she looked at Vincent who was standing unbothered with his hands in his pocket. She could guess immediately that something happened.
"Owen, is everything alright?" She asked a bit concerned by his expression. Moving closer to him, she touched his neck with the back of her palm.
"I'm fine." Owen stuttered.
