The first thing I saw was a head bopping up and down in the water, while the waves repeatedly crashed down and further into the shore. Two hands flailed about wildly, while the woman yelled repeatedly and continuously pointed into the water. She seemed like she was on the verge of tears, and without thinking, I rushed forward to meet her.
"What's happening?" I asked and started to step into the water. Behind me, Ateg was yelling something but I didn't want to glance back. "How many people are there?" I asked, but she didn't respond. Instead, she continued to shake her head and I turned back to the water.
The hands were still flailing about, so I rushed further into the ocean. The waves were a bit violent, and I wasn't sure about how strong I was to fight it, so I dived under and used my eyes to search for the legs. Luckily, it wasn't so far from me, so I continued on till I took a hold of the feet.
