She was beautiful and elegant, I could not take my eyes of her when she gracefully decapitated the first mutant.
And the serious look in her eyes ooh man I think Im in love and she smells soooo rancid??
AHH fuck right there is a mutant trying to kiss me to death "BAM" I gave him the hardest left hook I could muster which probably hurt me more than it hurt him, but remembering that I could just use my backpack as a shield I let him bite it.
And then proceeded to violently whack him to death.
"You ...fuckin..bitch...ass mutantfuckyoufuckyoufuckyou"
Man why, the moment I start enjoying something the world throws a rancid ass mutant at me.
But at lest I will be able to kill that big brain mutant, that might keep me happy for some time and just as I thought that, I could see that mister Einstein had run away in the chaos of battle leaving his mates to die.
I hadn't expected comradery from a mutant but for him to just run away he most definitely was not a patriot.
Seeing him run like a little bitch put a smile on my face which made the apparent dissatisfaction from not being able to kill Einstein almost disappear.
"Are you ok?"
Said my hero but considering her tone I was not sure whether she meant physically or mentally because while my mental health had definitely seen better days my physical condition was mostly fine except for the few scratches and my left hand which was hurting like a bitch.
So I replied.
"Yeah Im good what about you, that was pretty amazing you just killed 2 mutants in the blink of an eye."
She did not look fazed at the apparent compliment I had given her she was only looking for other signs of danger with a stoic look.
"Let's talk once we are inside."
Following her into her apartment I saw a little boy no older than 9 or 10 sitting at the door walking inside she ruffled his hair and then went to the sofa, he smiled at her with his eyes closed.
But the moment he started looking at me his eyes went wide open and he bit his lips occasionally glancing at his mother seemingly asking her why she would put them in danger by bringing someone like me into their safe space.
So I showed him my tongue rude kids get the bully treatment, just because Im a little crazy does not mean he can disrespect me like that.
And based on his open mouth I had killed it.
He looked at me then at his mom who was cleaning the blood of her machete with her back towards the rude bully kid and then back at me never loosing his expression of bewilderment.
The room looked like a mess cloths were laying around and empty cans of instant noodles were littered everywhere, the thrash bags that should have been thrown out ages ago were making me feel like this place was a complete dump.
I was prepared not to say anything in case it would seem rude and also because I did not want to lose my current accommodation.
Well I would also not mention the discrepancies from how she usually looked and how she had killed 2 mutants like it was nothing.
"So hows the weather?"
That was bad I must say despite my mental state and the fact that I had a hard time dealing with people, I had expected better from me.
The kid face palmed and even my Hero looked at me weirdly.
"Its pretty cloudy so I guess I have seen better days."
Ok so I wasn't the only one with social interaction issues.
Even the kid looked lie he was lost for words.
The kid put on a serious look and asked me.
"What happened up there we heard some rumbling and then the building started shaking? What is the situation up there?"
When the kid asked me this his mother came closer and looked at me.
I did not know whether or not I should lie or act like Im really sad because the thought of getting a capable and hot helper was a good deal.
There was some risk involved as well, I would have to watch my back and getting into conflict as a group was a lot easier than if you were going solo.
On the other hand if you did find yourself in an altercation getting chased by mutants for example not only would it be easier to deal with it.
If worst were to come you could just abandon them and have yourself some very lively bait.
I walked over towards the window and moved the blinds to see the streets I couldn't see all that far but on the street there were burning cars and mutants everywhere some humans were fighting them, but none of them were really doing a good job at fending them off.
So I made my choi-....
"What are you looking out there for you are going to scare me with the way you are stalling."
Said the little kid who despite his earlier rude behaviour seemed a lot more bearable right now.
"If you really want to know, the shaking you felt that was most likely my family being smashed into bloody meat paste by an extremely muscular meathead mutant.
We have to first escape this apartment complex because I doubt he is going to be stalled for a long time."
My hero ran over to the door looked through the peephole and then opened the door glancing left then right.
"He is not here yet but you are saying we do not ha-..... BAAAAAMMM"
The ground was shaking small debris was falling from the ceiling and me and the boy had to use the wall to keep our balance.
"GET YOUR STUFF NOW"
Said my hero, the kid instantly put on a small school backpack and my hero ran somewhere to get her stuff which she had seemingly already prepared despite her usual blockhead demeanour.
I decided right there that this was my moment my backpack was already useless so I was looking for something to hold the rest of my belongings, which included only the hard vodka and the cast iron pan that was smeared with blood.
Before I could even look for something actually useful my Hero had already come back with an army style backpack and an old army helmet looking like it was still from back in the Vietnam war days.
So I had to quick and the first thing I grabbed was a rathe durable shopping bag.
And with the blood smeared pan and my hard alcohol inside of a dirty shopping bag my homeless person outfit was almost complete.
I could see that she was ready to go and almost out the door with her kid in tow.
"STOP that mutant outside is different from the others he is really fast."
She nodded at me and it was clear now that she had officially decided to carry me which made my heart flutter a bit.
She went into her bedroom and got a fairly big stroller.
Obviously she had a plan, but what she would do with the stroller was a mystery to me,
but she left me no time to ponder over her plan
She went outside with the big stroller in front of her and pushed it towards the direction the mutant was at.
She was quick on her feet, with the intelligence these mutants showed that stroller would hold him back for long enough so that we would already be gone.
I went out and looked at the stroller which was close to colliding with the mutant and right when I thought he would be hit by it.
He did a freaking backflip over the goddamn huge stroller.....
