Elder Carson expression froze, his hand resting on the door.
"Who is it?" he asked cautiously.
"It's me," came a voice from the other side.
"It's Mia!" Martin exclaimed, his voice tinged with surprise.
Elder Carson's expression shifted, ready to open the door, but hesitated when he heard Mia's next words.
"Don't! Just listen to what I say," Mia commanded firmly.
Elder Carson's confusion was evident as he listened intently, "Young Miss, did something happen?"
Mia hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Just give me the storage bag I told you to bring, and you all stay here. There's no need to follow me from now on. He already knows that you're following us."
"It's impossible, could you have been mistaken?" Martin interjected, his disbelief evident.
"Shut up!" Mia's retort dripped with disdain, causing Martin to cower in fear.
