Chapter 1 - A Strange Dream.

Luke awoke in an eerie haze, his mind shrouded in an unfamiliar disarray. As he strained to open his eyes, they met only an abyss of darkness. Gradually, he coaxed his eyelids apart, and a dim, obscure world revealed itself. The air hung heavy with an enigmatic fog, obscuring any semblance of surroundings. It was a realm devoid of definition, leaving Luke to grapple with the unsettling void that enveloped him.

Rising cautiously to his feet, Luke embarked on a slow and deliberate journey through the enigmatic expanse. Every step seemed to echo in the emptiness, the only company being the mysterious fog that veiled his path. As he moved forward, a sense of disorientation gnawed at him—the landscape barren, the destination uncertain. His vision strained to pierce through the opaque shroud, revealing no more than a mere five meters of the unknown that lay ahead. In this desolate void, direction eluded him, leaving Luke to navigate the emptiness with a palpable sense of solitude.

"Hello there, looking for somebody?" a resonant voice reverberated, reaching Luke's ears with a peculiar proximity that seemed simultaneously near and distant. Luke, disoriented by the unexpected greeting, pivoted in every direction—scanning both right and left. However, the empty expanse offered no visible source for the voice, leaving him surrounded only by the enigmatic fog. The mysterious caller remained elusive, their presence hinted at by sound alone, playing tricks on Luke's senses in the surreal emptiness that enveloped him.

"I'm here, little friend."

At that moment, an involuntary shiver coursed through Luke's spine. Terrified— and who wouldn't be? He had been napping peacefully only to awaken in this otherworldly place, hearing a disembodied voice that seemed to know him intimately.

"Maybe I'm lucid dreaming," Luke muttered to himself, desperately trying to rationalize the surreal scenario.

"No, you are not," the mysterious voice countered with a haunting certainty. Luke's voice trembled as he questioned, "Where are you, and why the hell can you read my mind?"

The peculiar voice responded with an eerie laughter, echoing through the fog. "I'm up here." The enigma deepened as Luke looked around, struggling to fathom the source of the laughter that seemed to come from above, further intensifying the surreal nature of his inexplicable predicament.

Luke cautiously lifted his head and fixed his gaze upward. In an instant, his eyes widened with terror as a nightmarish sight materialized before him—a colossal face formed from the swirling fog, its features vaguely discernible yet undeniably ominous. The chilling realization struck him: he was not alone in this surreal realm, and the entity that loomed above him defied all logic.

In that unsettling moment, a distant memory surfaced in Luke's mind. He recalled his childhood days spent in his parents' garden, engrossed in observing ants and playfully interacting with the tiny creatures. However, the tables had turned, and now he found himself in a disconcerting parallel—a diminutive figure in the face of an unfathomable entity, much like an ant in the grand scope of his childhood recollections. The irony of the situation sent shivers down his spine, the present starkly contrasting with the innocent days of his youth.
