The tall figure of Hai Zongming approached from a distance, like a mountain slowly encroaching.
Of course, it was not his stature that brought pressure, but his identity.
Zhu Bijing respectfully stepped aside to the edge of the path, in a gesture of respect for the elder of the sect.
"Zhu Bijing?" Hai Zongming's footsteps, however, stopped beside her: "Is your name Zhu Bijing? Su Yao's sister?"
"It's me." Zhu Bijing bit her lip and replied.
"Su Yao is truly a good child, with talent and disposition, we elders all think highly of her. Of course, you're a good child too."
As Hai Zongming spoke, he sighed.
His somewhat tanned face by the sea's sunlight showed a hint of guilt: "I failed to properly guide my followers, raising someone as ungrateful as Hu Shaomeng. I truly owe you both an apology."
Zhu Bijing wasn't sure how to respond, so she simply shook her head to indicate that it was not the elder Hai's fault.
