In the small courtyard of Jia City, the overt and covert struggle between Hu Shaomeng and Xizi Chu continued.
"Stop harboring your messy thoughts. No matter when that thing appears, as long as Jiang Wang is still at the mine site, it all has nothing to do with us anymore, does it?" Hu Shaomeng snapped angrily.
"Your mouth is really tight. It seems you're quite confident that I didn't get more specific news through my 'ears'."
While ostensibly rotating his wine glass, Xizi Chu said with a smile, "But, you've told my 'eyes'."
He seemed very confident, with an ease that suggested he had everything under control.
Hu Shaomeng was well aware that 'ears' referred to informants and 'eyes' meant observation.
His face immediately darkened, "If you had no intention of cooperating, you shouldn't have stopped me earlier to say all that."
"That was then, this is now."
