Bai Lian led the way up the mountain with Jiang Wang following behind, his heart in his mouth.
A monstrous-looking giant spider crawled by in front of them, seemingly indifferent to their presence.
"Except when they are extremely famished, these Fierce Beasts generally don't attack each other," Bai Lian casually shared a not-so-funny joke, "It's probably because they all know their own flesh is simply too unpalatable."
As they had entered an area surrounded by Fierce Beasts, Bai Lian lowered her voice a bit, but not to the point of being overly cautious; it probably wasn't necessary.
Jiang Wang stayed silent and carefully observed the Fierce Beasts they encountered along the way, realizing that indeed not a single one attempted to attack them.
"You can talk, these Fierce Beasts can't understand you. They probably think you're just babbling," Bai Lian said, "What are you thinking about?"
