There isn't a bridge for ten miles near Xiao Lian Bridge, and no one knows why it's called that. In any case, the name has continued to this day.
However, this place is full of shops related to funerary affairs such as paper effigies, wreaths, coffins... you name it, making it the well-known White Matter Street in Linyi City.
Lao Zhang's coffin shop is the fourth one on the left from Xiao Lian Bridge. It is said that the shop has been passed down through three generations and has thus established a considerable reputation.
The storefront is of medium size. A black curtain hangs at the door, with no one outside to greet customers.
There are taboos in the funeral business, especially for coffins, which cannot be exposed to too much sunlight.
Actively soliciting customers is also not appropriate, as customers come and go as they please. At most, one relies on word-of-mouth like Lao Zhang, whose craftsmanship has been passed down through several generations.
