The general from Bavaria said to Ivita, "Your Highness Ivita, perhaps our Bavaria Duchy will be the first friend you have in the Empire."
Ivita blinked.
The choice of words was interesting, friend instead of ally.
This allowed for much greater flexibility in choices.
Ivita nodded his head, marking the end of this meeting.
After all the foreigners had left in twos and threes, Ivita had the servants organize the study's international documents, investigating information about the Bavaria Duchy and Holy Brittany Duchy.
Soon a dossier was set before him detailing the past history of Bavaria, and Ivita understood why the Bavarian general had taken interest in his sudden proposal.
The Bavaria Duchy had been fragmented for hundreds of years and was still fracturing, which was also the case for most of the duchies within the Holy Empire, possibly by the deliberate design of the Emperor and the kings.
