When Ivita saw the enemy pirate ship quickly approaching them in a zigzag course, she knew they would soon be within reach.
Upon seeing this, Captain Sam looked taken aback. "We're upstream of the wind, while they're downstream from us, so they're sailing against the wind. Their helmsman must be an expert at steering if he can accurately control their direction," he concluded.
"When a sailing ship is against the wind, it cannot proceed in a straight line and has to move in a zigzag pattern," he added.
Ivita nodded, then turned to Wilson, who was eight meters away and fighting against a resentful spirit. "When their pirate ship gets close, grab their helmsman for us. Use mental coercion to make him work for us," she instructed.
"Captain Sam, you should retreat as you're not a combatant. I'll handle the fight here," she added.
