At the castle gate, Ivita noticed that the equipment of the soldiers she had sent was still intact, immediately making her breathe a sigh of relief.
If the enemy had managed to take the equipment, it would have resulted in a substantial loss of money for her.
Confused, Ivita asked, "You were fighting mere citizens of a town, how could you have failed?"
"A small town should not have access to Alien Flora and a Knight's Secret Medicine."
"There shouldn't have been any knights in that little town."
The Knight Griffin wore a bitter smile. "My lady, there was more than one witch in that town, although indeed they did not dare to confront us directly."
