Ivita was originally planning to stop the Old Witch from taking the flame of the Thousand-Year Fire, as they simply had no means or resources to preserve it.
As the Princess stated, preserving the Thousand-Year Fire required an enormous force, the vast wealth brought about by this force, and the substantial resources obtained only by spending this wealth.
This is not something they, in their current state, could achieve.
But it was too late.
An ear-piercing hum resounded as the Sword in Fire vibrated, followed by a 'clunk', reminiscent of a massive rock shattering the concrete floor. Astoundingly, the Hearthstone Grand Witch had pried the Thousand-Year Fire off the mural with the Sword in Fire.
The bloody-red flame landed on the Sword in Fire. Though it only occupied a tiny point on the tip of the sword, it turned the blade from hilt to tip a blazing red in an instant.
"What the hell! It's so hot!"
